== Mission briefing on final part and divboxes ==
For missions where the contact requires you to physically contact them (such as Positron in his old TF), we use the mission briefing template, with themself in it, right?  The template doesn't seem to work so fine with the divbox template we've been using for this article.  :o  The bars are all squeezed close together when closed.  When it's open, it's fine, but not when it's closed.  :3  [[User:Sera404|Sera404]] 22:46, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Female/Male/Both Formatting

I broke each mission up a bit, just to make it more clear for people that wanted to find gender specific dialog. Basically, I just made each briefing, debriefing, and mission itself sub categories within each mission, in case you want to undo it. Felderburg 21:49, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

If the dialogs only differ in one word, I think it's easier to just use a slash to show that that word is gender specific. See the guard dialog in the first mission (who cares? Shoot him/her!). Felderburg 23:54, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Nice idea, but it bulks out the article a bit too much. From what I can tell in the initial contact, for example, the green parts are all the same, so we could use divboxes perhaps in that section. But I'll need to gather a bit more data before attempting it. :3 Sera404 05:09, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
I'm not sure I explained it clearly enough. Take the outleveled dialog, for example:
This
Versus:
What's up bro/babe! Look...
I do like the use of boxes, I did that for some of his dialog in Leonard's arc
I do agree, the big issue is making the article not too dang long, which I think the him/her style might work better for some dialogs. But yeah, more data. I only have the female side, myself, and since I only have one villain high enough for the arcs, that's all I'm gonna get for a while... Felderburg 05:23, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
The outleveled dialogue is small enough that two boxes is OK. However, I used the {{hidden}} template on the initial contact dialogue trees, for an example of what can be done with longer texts.
Additionally, I moved the sandbox from "Dialog Tree" to Dean MacArthur/Dialogue Tree.

Yeah, I used the hidden for some of his stuff in Leonard's arc... sorry about the dialog thing, I wasn't sure where to put it. I put a post on the forums about dialog trees, and what people should do with them, since I think they'll be a major component of future missions. Felderburg 06:19, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Had a go at converting the first mission with divboxes. Would be better if I could get some alternative boxes where I don't have to put the "MALE" and "FEMALE" part so the boxes can be slimmer to cut down on room a bit more though. I'd think anyone could follow the pattern easily without the words being there. But I'm horrible on making templates. :D Ideally, I just want a box which is:
{{whatever|red|what's up babe?}}
Which would make a thinner box. :D Sera404 06:22, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
Switched the {{divbox}} to {{hidden}}, which creates a much smaller footprint and looks much cleaner, as well. Yes/no? ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 06:28, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
It looks great, although it was pointed out in the discussion about dialogue trees that many people want to just scroll down a page and get the mission text without having to open up boxes. Cooked up another option -- sample -- creating the templates for something like this would be super simple. ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 02:47, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
Keep in mind that having the possibility of doubled dialogues, using unhidden formatting of any sort is going to make the articles VERY VERY LONG. ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 02:49, 5 May 2010 (UTC)

Now that looks cool. I didn't even notice the shades of grey at first, maybe more color colors? Felderburg 03:49, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
I was just slapping colors in so that others would get the visual effect. I fully expect the end result to have more color definition. ~ User:Aggelakis/Sig1 04:42, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
