Not strictly a wiki thing, but which is better: char or ring of fire? Stab594 08:12, 16 October 2007 (EDT)

Well, either would keep a target from going anywhere. Ring of Fire just keeps them in place, Char keeps them from doing anything at all. For tanking, my preference would be Char strictly for the damage mitigation factor of a hold vs. an immob. (If I had a choice like that for a brute, I might have a different opinion because of the effect on Fury.) --Eabrace 14:15, 16 October 2007 (EDT)
I'd probably pick Char for the hold as well. My tank has arctic mastery which has a ranged hold as well, and I certainly like it. - Snorii 16:37, 16 October 2007 (EDT)

Outdated?

I believe the levels at which you gain these powers has changed. According to the Issue 21 change notes:

  1. Epic and Patron Power Pools have been adjusted:
   * Tier 1 or 2 Powers are now available at level 35.
   * Tier 3 or 4 Powers are now available at level 41.
   * Tier 5 Powers are now available at level 44.

I'm not yet level 35 so I don't know for sure. RogerWilco 22:51, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
