David Wincott is a hero contact in the Cherry Hills neighborhood of The Hollows at coordinates (2410, 0, -3834)[Copy] . His level range is 5-9.

Note: The Hollows is an optional zone. While all heroes are referred to contacts in the Hollows, they may speak to Wincott and return to their regular contacts if they like. Heroes may miss out on important story information, temporary powers, and/or badges if they skip the regular contacts in this level range (though most content is available via flashback later on.)

Introductions

Contact Introduced By

  • David Wincott is open to all heroes at level 5 without direct introduction. If not spoken to directly, one or more of the other level 5-10 contact will give the player a mission to go talk to him, in order to make players aware of him and the Hollows arcs.

New Contact(s)

I have someone I'd like you to meet.

I'd like to introduce you to a member of my team here in the Hollows. His name's Freddy Tindle, but these days he's more often known as Flux. Flux's deep under with the Outcasts, and he knows more about their local activities than anyone.

Flux is a good guy in a dangerous spot. Do right by him, Character.

You should go talk to Meg Mason. She's working for the Paragon Police in The Hollows. I know she can use your help, Character.

Meg's managed to have her contacts infiltrate nearly every gang in The Hollows. She'll have some really useful information on how to take them down.

Information

Policeman

Lieutenant David Wincott was just a beat cop with a nine to five shift until his son, Sam, was kidnapped by the Trolls four years ago. Now, he's a man with a mission. After the kidnapping, Wincott asked to be reassigned to the Paragon City Trolls Task Force. It's a dangerous job that's cost many of his comrades their lives, but to Wincott, the risk is worth it. Although his friends keep telling him to make his peace with the past, Wincott's never stopped hoping that one day he'll be reunited with his son.

Initial Contact

Referred Introduction

Ever since the Trolls kidnapped my son, Sam, four years ago, I've been dedicated to rooting them out of the Hollows. But, let's face it: I need every bit of help I can get. If you would like to help me, I'd be grateful.

Otherwise, you can keep pursuing leads with your current contacts. I'll still be here if you decide the fight for the Hollows is something you want to be a part of.

Open Introduction

So you're Character, huh? I hope you're as good as your reputation. These Trolls are vicious, but, with your help, I hope to take them out.

Greeting

  • There's a situation that needs your attention.
  • The Trolls are up to their old tricks.
  • Ready to reclaim the Hollows?

Too Busy

You're overworked, kid. Finish some of your current missions; then we'll talk.

Outlevelled Contact

The time has come for you to move on to greater challenges.

No More Missions

You've done all I could ask of you, my friend. Perhaps your other contacts know of someone who needs your help.

Store

You've become a true friend, Character. The next time you enter the field, I'd like you to take along a few of these new Enhancements. And take my number. You never know when you might need a hand.

I think I may trust you more than any man on my team. I've requisitioned some new gear, if you'd like to take a look.

Officer Wincott vs. the Trolls (5-9)

Souvenir

Officer Wincott vs. the Trolls

As you look over the pale stone key taken off a Troll you're reminded of the events you've come to know as...

Officer Wincott vs. the Trolls.

You and Wincott had developed a pretty solid relationship up to this point. Your work in the Hollows against the Outcasts got his attention and when he sought you out to help him with a little Troll problem, it seemed like a perfect fit.

The Trolls had it in for the Outcasts, attacking any hideout they could find. Wincott sent you after them to see what you could 'dig up'. From one of the Troll raiders you found a list of Outcast hideouts. It was easy enough to make the connection that this was a hit list. The Outcast had holed up in one of the numerous Abandoned Office buildings and the Trolls were going to attack them. Entering the building yourself, you were reminded of the old saying about two birds and a single stone.

It wasn't until you came face to face with an Outcast by the name of the Electric Eel that you began to rethink your strategy. Thankfully, your determination over powered his raw... well 'power' and you were able to shut them down. Now that just left the Bedrock to deal with.

He must have fancied himself a collector of some sort because after you beat down some of his guards, where you got this stone key from, you found your way into his 'gallery'. It was full of strange artifacts, artifacts, Bedrock preferred you didn't touch. The two of you fought and again, you were surprised at the sheer force of the Outcasts. But Bedrock was soon the one who was surprised when you brought him to his knees.

Officer Wincott was glad to see you made it out on one piece and that you'd managed to put a dent in the Trolls. However, with nothing more pressing for you to do, he sent you on your way.

Take on a few Trolls

Briefing

After seeing you go toe to toe with the Outcasts, I think you're ready for the big leagues. The Trolls. The Outcasts are pesky, but the Trolls are the real tamale. They're tough, Character. They're tough and they're brutal. I make no bones about it: I don't like Trolls. And I aim to make sure they don't like me.

If you're willing to help, I'd like you to take on a few of the Trolls in this area. Show them there's a new hero in the Hollows.

Mission Acceptance

The Trolls have been attacking any building that contains an Outcast hideout. They've done a lot of structural damage, and the whole area is becoming a death trap. That's the problem I need you to fix.

Unnecessary Solicitation

I'd like to see a few more Trolls in the paddy wagon, thank you very much.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Combat Trolls in Cherry Hills
    • Defeat 10 Trolls

On one of the Trolls, you found a list of Outcast hideouts.

Clue
List of Outcast hideouts

This scribbled list enumerates two Outcast hideouts. The Trolls no doubt planned to attack these locations.

Debriefing

Outstanding! Not only did you keep the Trolls from attacking those Outcast hideouts, but you found an important clue. This list of Outcast hideouts should really help us in the fight to reclaim Cherry Hills.

Invade the Outcasts hideouts

Defeat all Outcasts in base

Briefing

Thanks to your work against those Troll raiders, we've got the locations of two Outcast hideouts. The first is an office the Outcasts have been using to store arms. It's led by a Shocker who calls himself the Electric Eel. The second is an abandoned office, led by a Brick known as Bedrock. Intelligence things it's likely that Bedrock has a number of dangerous artifacts squirreled away there. Recover them, and you'll have my gratitude.

Mission Acceptance

Watch yourself, Character. The Outcasts aren't keen on invaders.

Unnecessary Solicitation

I need you to deal with Electric Eel's hideout.

Mission Objective(s)

The tiny hairs on the back of your neck stand up. The air in here is electrically charged.

  • Defeat all Outcasts in base
    • 4 weapon racks to confiscate

You cleared out the first Outcast base.

Notable NPCs

Defeat all Outcasts in 2nd base

Unnecessary Solicitation

Bedrock's base is still up and running. I need you to shut it down.

Mission Objective(s)

This old building has taken a beating. It looks like the Outcasts are fond of practicing their powers here.

  • Defeat all Outcasts in 2nd base
    • 3 artifacts to recover, Unlock the door!

You cleared out Bedrock's base and recovered the dangerous artifacts.

Notable NPCs

Clue
Stone key

On one of the Outcasts you found this pale stone key.

Clue
Worn tome

You recovered this worn and moldy tome from an Outcasts' hideout. The strange, rusty red text appears to be Russian.

Clue
Strange skull

You recovered this skull from an Outcasts' hideout. It is highly similar to a human skull, but the bones are much thinner and more fragile.

Clue
Coral bracelet

You recovered this bracelet from an Outcasts' hideout. When you touch the beads, your finger begins to bleed.

Debriefing

You've done me proud, Character. This is a success I'll get to brag about back at the precinct. If you're still interested in what happens to the Hollows, I think you'll have to look further than my little beat. It's time for you to journey deeper into the Hollows and see what you can uncover.

Missions

Hit the streets and put the hurt on the Outcasts

Briefing

A lot of the worst violence in the Hollows happens right here in Cherry Hills. It's here where the Trolls and Outcasts most frequently clash over territory. If you stick with me, I'll need you to go up against both groups from time to time. Your first assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to hit the streets and put the hurt on the Outcasts. We need to create a buffer zone between them and the Trolls.

Mission Acceptance

If you can keep the Outcasts off the streets, it might deter a little of the violence around here. My men and I would sure appreciate that.

Unnecessary Solicitation

I need you to push the Outcasts back into their hideouts.

Mission Objective(s)

  • Combat Outcasts in Cherry Hills
    • Defeat 10 Outcasts

You have created a buffer zone between the Trolls and the Outcasts.

Enemies

Outcasts

Debriefing

Good job, kid, good job. I've seen bigger heroes than you fall short when they go up against the Outcasts, but you handled yourself with style. In some ways, you remind me of my son, Sam. He was a brave, unflinching kind of kid.
