Why isn't the cost of the field crafter badge equal to the difference between the cost of getting every memorization badge and getting the non-required 5th tier? Also using salvage reciped counts towards the 1000 required. --Ephemerus 22:29, 19 December 2007 (UTC)
- Sigh, someone should go over this again, I should be able to go over it over the Christams break, but I make no promises. And I'm not sure what you mean in the last statment, could you rephrase it? Kessen 16:22, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
- The statement that you have to craft 1000 enhancement is false as you can craft a bunch of base components which is much easier and practically free if not income generating. --Ephemerus 08:33, 22 December 2007 (UTC)
more detail on how my Google spreadsheet gets the salvage counts: The Salvage Counts tab columns are as follows:
- the Number Required column from the first tab
- the next few columns (now) use value() and text() statements to recreate single-column values for previous sheet's Salvage 1, Salvage 2 & Salvage 3. I checked them for length each paste. Total is calculated
- the Unique Salvage column gets unique values from the salvage column, using
=unique(D2:D176)
- The Quantity Counts column grabs sums from the Total column using values in the Salvage column using
=sumif($D$2:$D$176,E2,$C$2:$C$176)
I wasn't sure how to incorporate the total information without cluttering up the page, so I reference the document externally. If someone figures out a good way to capture this info in the wiki, that's where it should be. - Lem 11:20, 27 July 2008 (UTC) updated 21:03, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

The odd enhancement
It seems that for at least some of the badges which require an odd number of enhancements you have to craft the extra one at the higher level. I just tested it with Weaponeer my progress was 6/13 all from level 15 IOs and crafting a 7th level 15 failed to increase the progress bar. I can't say if this is true for all the badges but it might be. I'm working on Field Crafter for a new toon at the moment so I'll try and remember to check as many as possible. - I always crafted the lower-end one for the odd enhancement, because they're cheaper. I got Field Crafter just fine. User:Aggelakis/Sig1 16:57, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
- So did I with my first two field crafters but with this guy I happened to open the badge window to check on the progress I had on another badge and noticed I was only 6/13 for level 15/20 IOs despite having 7 level 15 damage IOs equipped. CmdrAdeon 20:37, 23 August 2009 (UTC)

- Just did it on my brute who had never done any kind of crafting. Crafting knockbacks -- 6 15s, 6 20s, then a 15 - got the badge. User:Aggelakis/Sig1 04:37, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
Just a thought, did you craft a level 15 Damage for your Invention Tutorial? User:Aggelakis/Sig1 04:40, 24 August 2009 (UTC)I'm retarded, those count toward the badge. (Just verified.)
- Wierd, I double checked when I was logged on today. I have currently crafted 7 level 15 damage IOs (all equipped) and one level 20 knockback IO but my progress bar only shows 7/13. Unless it's some sort of order thing or a random bug I'm stumped. CmdrAdeon 04:48, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

- Its actually an easy bug to replicate. Craft multiple ehancements as fast as you can, you will almost always see one or more 'missed' in the porgress bar. Craft one, wait for the bar to tick, and craft the next and you never get it. Catwhoorg 21:10, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
