A context menu is a pop-up menu in a graphical user interface (GUI) that appears upon user interaction (such as a mouse click or right click). Context menus are intended to provide choices or shortcuts for actions that are directly related to an on-screen item, without cluttering the interface. The choices or shortcuts listed in a context menu are called "menu items". The location of a context menu on the screen is typically determined by the location of the mouse cursor, and usually appear right underneath it.
