I saw a note here from ages ago regarding the possibility of "artifying" the icon used to denote the various GM spawn locations. I got to thinking that perhaps following a similar model here on the Wiki to what is done in ViditotMaps's map pack might be applicable (i.e. using the relevant badge symbol as a marker). In this case, I thought perhaps using the center portion of the [[Ghost Touched Badge]] (minus the wings) could serve the purpose since Unseelie '''always''' spawn at a GM Location. In this vein, I have gone through and recreated each and every map with the proposed Icon... Anyone have any major opposition to such a change? While doing this, I also made sure that each map is using a consistent amount of brightness (and in some cases a more current map). | I saw a note here from ages ago regarding the possibility of "artifying" the icon used to denote the various GM spawn locations. Small circle of pumpkins?
"The Halloween GMs show up within a circle of small pumpkins marking their spawn site. "
I'm pretty sure I've put in more hours looking for Halloween GMs than about anyone else, and I've never seen any small pumpkins at their spawn sites. Removing this line barring other comfirmation. User:StarGeek/sig 19:09, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- There are pumpkins on the ground around the spawn site. I was misremembering that they were a circle, they're just placed randomly. [1] -- Aggelakis 19:26, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's true. I've been alerted to the presence of a nearby Halloween GM more than once by spotting the pumpkins when I would have otherwise totally blown by the GM without noticing. --Eabrace 19:33, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, very strange. Is this Croatoa only? I have never seen this, at any spawn site.... Ok, figured it out. They will appear if you have Particle Physics turned on. They will not appear if Particle Physics are turned off. User:StarGeek/sig 19:49, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- I guess that makes them pumpkin particles. --Eabrace 20:11, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- o.o see Talk:Halloween_Event_2008#Jack_O.27Lanterns_on_the_Ground here for more info, but basically your problem is your graphic settings are to low. Turn them up and you'll get to see these guys, they're awesome!--Sleepykitty 09:24, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Need /loc numbers for GM spawns
I'm going to attempt to make some maps for the villain side, but I'll need some /loc numbers to do so. If anyone wants to try and get some, let me know here or on my talk page. User:StarGeek/sig 06:54, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Dropped in a couple Grandville points. -- Aggelakis 17:01, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the sites and the list. Added the Grandville ones, still need to get basic data on the other zones before I can create the maps. Also, if anyone with artistic ability wants to make a better marker, I'd be happy to use it. User:StarGeek/sig 19:08, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
- Added points for Cap and Nerva. -- Cryton1 00:32, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- The Nerva points are pretty much the same (about 40' diff). I'll average them and use that number as soon as I get the basic Nerva map setup. User:StarGeek/sig 00:39, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
- Okay. Points added for Sharkhead, too. -- Cryton1 03:15, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
