This is how this template looks in an article:
Usage
This template is intended to be placed on pages that should be deleted. Note however that in most cases, a redirect is probably better than a deletion.
If a page should be deleted, this template should be placed at the top of the page. It can be used in two ways:
- {{delete|This page was created by mistake.}}
- In this format, the template is passed an argument that will display a reason why this page is being recommended for deletion. This is the recommended way to use the template.
- {{delete}}
- In this format, no reason has been provided for the deletion request. This isn't recommended. A reason should be provided even if it seems obvious -- it might not be obvious to someone else.
This template will place the article in Candidates for Deletion where they can be found by administrators.
