Overview
You have Mastery over Fire and Flame to control your foes and to add some much needed armor and defense. Flame Mastery is a Blaster Ancillary Powerset.
This powerset was added to the game in Issue 3.
Power Tables
The following table shows which powers are available and at what level:
Power | Level | Effect |
---|---|---|
Bonfire | 41 | Ranged (Location Area of Effect), Minor Damage(Fire), Foe: Knockback |
Char | 41 | Ranged, Moderate Damage over Time(Fire), Foe: Hold |
Fire Shield | 44 | Toggle: Self +Resistance(Fire, Lethal, Smash, Cold) |
Rise of the Phoenix | 47 | Self Rez, Special |
Powers
The following are powers in the Flame Mastery powerset.
Bonfire
You can create a bonfire that knocks back and burns any foes who try to pass through it.
Char
Incapacitates a distant foe by charring him with smoldering soot and cinders. The target is left helpless, choking on the soot.
Fire Shield
While this power is active, you get a good resistance to lethal, smashing and fire damage. Fire Shield also provides minimal resistance to cold damage. You must be level 44 and have Bonfire or Char before selecting this power.
Recharge | Very Fast |
Minimum Level | 44 (Blaster) |
Effects | Toggle: Self +Resistance(Fire, Lethal, Smash, Cold) |
Enhancements | Reduce Endurance Cost |
Increase Attack Rate | |
Enhance Damage Resistance |
Rise of the Phoenix
If you are defeated, you can rise from the ashes. The fiery resurrection blasts nearby foes with an explosion and knocks them down. You will revive with about half of your hit points and endurance. Rise of the Phoenix will actually leave you invulnerable.
The Phoenix will strike a total of three times, with two seconds between strikes. Each strike deals heavy damage, a magnitude 4 stun, and knocks back. If enemies stay within the 25' radius of the Phoenix's attack for all three strikes, nuke-level damage and a very high magnitude of stun will be dealt. Knockback immunity powers, such as many holds and immobilizes, inherent knockback resistance, as with arch-villains and certain heavy enemies, and geometry, including walls and corners, can all become tactically important when this power is used.
