You've done a lot of hard cuttin' for us down here, Character, Splicey-gal's been chatterin' 'bout'cha. Says she's got somethin' real big she wants to jaw with you about.
Yeah, I think you're gonna be smooth sailin' down the coast with Splicey.
Information
Resistance freedom fighter
From her broad smile and the splash of crazy in her eyes, to her dizzying speech pattern and signature pink PPD helmet, everything about Ricochet is memorable. She earned her name like most of the others do in the Crusaders: by how she got her first kill. In Ricochet's case, rumor has it, she let off a blind shot during her first engagement which ricocheted off of a PPD power field and ruptured a high pressure fuel tank. The resulting explosion took out the entire PPD squad, saving the lives of her comrades.
The other story is that the bullet ricocheted into her head.

What's up, slammer? Old top-hat sent you over here to mish.mash with me, huh?! Well, I'm all down for that!
I think you and me, we're gonna be banging on some portraits and tearing up the screens all over the place!
... what?
Greeting
Hey there, slammer! I just love Nova Praetoria, don't you? And that Emperor Cole guy is sooooo dreamy!

Looks like we've managed to give Tyrant a tasty cup of punch, if you know what I'm saying. For now, we wait and see how he and his goldilocks are going to react. I'll let you know if I need any more of your help.

Resistance Dictionary
You have a small dictionary of Resistance words, each of their definitions more like guesses to what they mean. It reminds you of your first encounter with the Ricochet of the Resistance in an experience called...
Justifying the Means
It began with a confusing talk with Ricochet, who apparently told you to go plant some fake bombs in Nova Praetoria. Jack Hammer explained to you the plan - you were going to plant some poison bombs in Nova, while another member of the Resistance, Rothstein, was captured. A tracker would be planted on Rothstein to see where he and the bombs would be brought. Once all that was done, you would attack the location, activate the bombs, and walk away without anything pointing towards you.
After setting the bombs in Nova, you helped out Team Bravo per Ricochet's request - they were recovering information for a woman named Splice. You helped the team and found out they were looking for Marauder's...day planner.
Ricochet's next request was to destroy a warehouse full of Clockwork - they would be used to quickly siphon any poison that might be released into the PPD lab you would be attacking. The job was easy enough to perform, setting up the final stage of the plan.
You casually walked into the PPD lab, with the officials there none the wiser. With your gas mask in hand, you activated the poison gas and watched as all the members of the PPD collapsed around you.
Ricochet was thrilled when you returned to her, saying that this was just the first step of many towards bringing down the PPD. At least, that's what you think she said.
Part One: Lost in Translation
Ask someone what exactly Ricochet said
You ever mushroomed a badger den, slamcakes? It's a blast! Get it?
Stamp some wisdom, chomper, know what I'm sayin'?
Gah. Sometimes I just can't read your subtitles, chomperuskie.
Not my glitch though, you can work on your dazzle stars later, right now I need you to Johnny Appleseed these bangwiches around pleasantville without getting chomped or scamped. Can you dig that ditch?
...what?
Just plant the 'splodies around town and wait for me to ring-a-ding you. B-team might need your charity, know what I'm sayin'?

What's the flaw popper-rinsky?
Mission Objective(s)
- Ask someone what exactly Ricochet said.
Hey, Character, right? Good to have you on board, the name's Jack Hammer. You need something?
I need a hand, I'm trying to understand this woman, Ricochet...
Ricochet? Yeah, she can be tough to understand sometimes. What was it that she told you, roughly?
(Explain what Ricochet said)
Gah...I hate this Resistance talk sometimes, always making sure no one up top is understanding us.
What do you mean, Resistance talk?
Resistance talk, you know? Speakin' like you're a slammer, or like you saw someone get chomped. It's the way things go 'round here.
Well why do you talk like that?
Might as well tell an owl who you are and get on with your day. But I'll keep the talk simple for you since you ain't used to it yet.
...great. So what about Ricochet?
She want you to plant some bombs up topside. They're not real bombs - they're filled with poison gas. This is all part of our big plan. If Ricochet has got you doin' this, you deserve to know what's going on.
One of our boys, Rothstein, cracked the other day, saw his entire family killed by some Powers Division. He came up with this whole plan - we plant some nerve gas bombs around Nova, the PPD picks it up while also arresting him.
We have him bugged to see where they bring him and the gas, then one of us walks up on that place and springs the trap! Gas it all, send them PPD to their graves!
All this though is gonna be triggered by you plantin' those bombs. All clear now?
Crystal, I'm off.
Plant Bombs in Nova
Mission Objective(s)
- Plant Bombs in Nova
- Plant 3 bombs
You've got the bombs all set - now to get some help to B-Team.
Return to the surface, and the locations to plant each bomb will be shown on your map (ensure you have selected 'Mission Objective' in your map options!)
You receive a coded message from Ricochet after planting the last bomb:
'Slammer! You got'em blowie-blows all seeded! We got ourselves a major commercial break goin' on with our B team in the Ministory of MISinformation! They're doing a major thumbs up for our girl Splice but are totally gettin' slammed. We need ya' to do some swoopin' on 'em and get the 011's that Splice is looking for!
Check in on Bravo Team
Mission Objective(s)
This seems to be the place where B-Team was sent in. Saving these members of the Resistance will ensure that they can spread more chaos and destruction around Nova.
- Check in on Bravo Team
- 2 Bravo Team members to rescue
- Defeat PPD Sergeant Pell
- Recover information for Splice
You got the data and saved Bravo Team. Return to Ricochet.
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Resistance Recruit x2 (NPC) (Non-escort Hostage)
- PPD Sergeant x2 (Boss) )One guarding each hostage)
- Sergeant Pell (Praetorian Police Department Sergeant) (Boss)
- Investigator (Boss)
You've got the data Bravo Team was sent in here for.
Looking it over, it seems that they were trying to retrieve information on... Marauder's day planner? This can't be right.
Debriefing
Way to snatch the cricket, sugar cane!
You really gave those golden boys a kick in the pantaloons and while they were seeing dandelions you snatched the honey and took off with the B's.
I'm gonna spit it, but only this once; you've impressed me, curly fries!
Marauder's planner? Yeah, old loner loo Splice was all grabby about oggling over it, spoke some jibber about it bein' the king's catch or somethin' like that, you know?
Take my tellerfone numbers, slammer. This way you can call me whenever you need to give an 11-7 to the Resistance. Know what I'm sayin?
Part Two: Robo Clean Up
Cleaner bot! Them's the bots we're lookin' for here. Our main boy Rothstein got himself planted deep in the badger pot, you feel?
So now we gotta make a pose and take a picture while we got ourselves a camerman, 'cept the only problem is them badgers got their vacuums ready to clean up any sorta milk we spill.
Splice got us a date to a dance with our bots, but I gotta ask ya to ditch the prom queen and go out there dancin' solo. You cool with that?
...I'm dancing with what?
You got this!
Ricochet points out a location on a map of Nova - a warehouse where the PPD keep Clockwork.
You gotta take your limo and park in the no parkin' zone, you dig?
Unsolicited Contact
You don't wanna be late to that robo-prom, slammer!
Mission Objective(s)
Piecing together what Ricochet said, you think she just gave you the location of a main storage warehouse for the Clockwork! Dealing with them should be easier than understanding her. Hopefully.
- Destroy the Clockwork(?)
- 2 Clockwork supplies to destroy
- Destroy the Lead Mender
You've crippled the Clockwork warehouse - time to endure speaking with Ricochet to see what's up next.
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Clockwork Supplies x2 (Object)
- Lead Mender (Praetorian Clockwork Mender) (Lieutenant)
Debriefing
We got this thing goin' on now, slapper!
With them robo bots out doing the punch-drunk, we got ourselves some time bought to let the funny gas spread out and make them PPD not so funny! All we gotta do now is get you, our big mean machine, up in there to spread the lovin'!
You do some real good work, you know that, slammer? I know I don't say it much, but watching you out there gets my blood all going whacko! Makes me wanna take down some blueberries! Keep being a hero, Character!
Part Three: My Choice
Gas the PPD Lab
This is Rothstein's big grand finale, Character. We got the picture of the place where he's planted, along with all them little balloons of happy-gas. All we need now is someone to go on in there and flip that switch to cause night-night for good to all 'em badgers. That lotto winner is YOU, Character, 'cause of your affair with the whole swingin' some hole in one's with all them badgers. They ain't gonna make a fist seein' you, since you got that stamp of Powers Division.
Ricochet hands you a gas mask.
Ya just put this thing after gettin' the happy gas started and make sure them badgers don't try comin' back to life. Everyone's gonna say goodnight tonight!
Alright, and what about Rothstein?
Rothstein? Rothstein flew the coop! Went nuts after the whole ball and chain got yanked and cracked, wanted this to be the swang song of his ballet.
He ain't wantin' to come back for a sequel, you got me? So you ain't gotta worry about signing any new deals with him, 'cause he is out for good.
Mission Objective(s)
The PPD here all seem friendly to you, not knowing that in a few minutes, they'll be breathing in the noxious fumes from Resistance bombs.
- Gas the PPD Lab
- Retrieve the poison gas supplies
- 3 poison gas bombs to set up
- 9 groups of PPD to defeat
- Rescue Rothstein (Optional)
- Get out of the lab
No human is left alive in that station - time to go back to Ricochet.
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Rothstein (The Resistance Officer) (NPC)
(Players have the choice of saving Rothstein or leaving him to die. This assumes the player chooses to save Rothstein.)
Rothstein looks to be badly injured from the PPD and the gas in the air.
Character...? What're you...doin' here...?
I'm getting you out, now get on your feet.
Hah...I'm not getting' outta here alive, Character.
This...this is where I die. I got nothing left to live for...
My wife's dead...my son and daughter...dead...
...and me? I'm knockin' on death's door. I just...wanna finally see them again. I'm too tired...too tired to keep fighting.
Just...let me rest.
Come on, get up! Are you just going to lay down and die?
That's...the plan...I got no energy left...to keep fightin' these guys...as long as I know...this plan worked...I'm just fine...dyin' like this...
Too bad, I'm not. (knock out Rothstein to drag him out)
You knock out Rothstein, allowing you to drag him out of the poisoned lab.
Weighs more than I thought...!
Speak with Ricochet
Mission Objective(s)
- Speak with Ricochet
Yo slamapper! You did it!
We got them badgers all lookin' over their shoulders and changin' their clothes out now, they ain't gonna rest at the movies now that they know we're out in FORCE!
You see Rothstein's final swang song?
No, I actually saved Rothstein.
Wha?! What's the lightbulb all for? You weren't asked to go in and swoop anyone!
Now we gotta throw him in the wagon and cart him along while he's soaking up space!
Aaargh! Makes me wanna punch some flowers!
I can't be staying red in the face at you though, slammer, 'cause you're tough, even if you got some sorta shield deal going on.
...right.
Debriefing
Shinetastic job! With bricks-for-brains safely tethered down here we won't have to scramble like omelets to break some eggs.
Yeah, yeah, I know, you don't know what I'm sayin'.
You and me, though, we finished our thirty, doesn't look like we're getting renewed for a pick-up season, but maybe we got ourselves some reruns huh?
Got someone else though who wants to ask you for some swoopin' and handin', that girl, Splice. You up for a little round two on a different network?
Ricochet is a little... eccentric. Just nod a lot and try to follow what she's jabberin' on about.
