Overview
DATA is the Department of Advanced Technology Application, a division of the Paragon City government that researches and investigates technical issues. It is one of five organizations that serves as the initial contact point for new heroes. There are two DATA offices in Paragon City. The office in Atlas Park is led by Rick Davies, one of the first heroes to use powered armour but since retired through injury. The office in Galaxy City is led by Caitlin Murray-Davies, a computer genius who specializes in man-machine interfaces and cybernetics.
