Greetings, <Hero Name>. Welcome to Wentworth's Fine Consignments.
If this is your first time in our consignment house, let me explain how it works. At Wentworth's we use a 'secret bid' auction. To make a long story short, you set the price for your item, but the Buyer does not see it. The Buyer bids what he wishes to pay and if he meets, or exceeds, your requested price he will receive the item. You may even receive more than you asked for! In order to help the Buyer with a bid, there is a history of how much that item has sold for in the past, up to 10 purchases.
You only have 10 Transaction Slots so whether you are selling or buying, you may only participate in 10 transactions at any given time. In the beginning, you have a limited number of Transaction Slots; however, you will gain more through experience or rewards. The amount of slots you have is based on your Security Level.
You may sell (or buy) Salvage (which is sold in stacks), all Enhancements, Recipes and Inspirations.
Now this consignment house is not free and we do have two types of fees. There is a Listing Fee, which is 10% of the price you sell your item for. It is refunded once the item is sold. There is also a Transaction Fee of 5% of the final sale price, which is deducted at the time of purchase. You will use your Influence to pay for these transactions.
You may only put an item up for sale for 24 hours. If it does not sell within that time frame it moves to your Transaction Inventory for 30 days. Please be aware that you will lose your posting fee if your item does not sell. Also, you may put up a 'looking to buy' order for 7 days. If no one responds in 7 days, the order is cancelled.
Oh, and there was that customer incentive program I wanted to mention. Badges. No matter, I'm sure I have given you too much information already and you will figure it out soon enough.

== Fixed Price Items == | |||
While the vast majority of items available in Wentworth's are sold by players, Wentworth's itself also sells a Consignment House Teleporter inspiration at a fixed price of 10k, which is always available, and which will take you to any of the four Wentworth's locations. Reportedly villains have a similar Black Market Teleporter.
==Sales Tax== | |||
When dealing with the Consignment Houses, there are unfortunately two taxes involved, both paid by the Seller of an item.
The first is always charged, a listing fee. This fee is taken from the sellers available [[influence]] at the time of listing, and if the seller doesn't have enough, the item won't be allowed to be listed.
The second fee is only charged when the item (or items, in the case of item stacks) is sold. The fee will be subtracted from the amount of influence that the buyer payed the seller, and thus, only affects the amount of incoming money, not what the seller has on hand. There is a special case where this isn't true though, if the amount paid for the item is less than the sales tax, what ever is left over will be once again charged the seller, and not the buyer. Of course, if they seller where to remove the item before it is bid on and sold, this fee will never be charged.
