Overview

petcom is a slash command that will instruct the currently selected pet. Used primarily by Masterminds, can be used on Henchmen, Gladiators, and Heavies.

Usage

petcom commands

commands will be sent to the currently selected pet.

Stances

  • PetCommand Stance Aggressive.png Aggressive - Attack everything in their Perception range, or that attacks you or any of your other pets.
  • PetCommand Stance Defensive.png Defensive - Retaliate to attacks made against you or any of your other pets.
  • PetCommand Stance Passive.png Passive - Will not attack unless specifically told to.

Actions

  • PetCommand Action Attack.png Attack - Attacks your currently selected target, regardless of Stance. Automatically switches to Follow after all nearby hostile targets are defeated.
  • PetCommand Action Follow.png Follow - Follow you.
  • PetCommand Action Stay.png Stay - Hold position. Will move a short distance from that spot if in Aggressive or Defensive mode and attacking.
  • PetCommand Action Goto.png Goto - Gives you a targeting reticule to select a spot on the ground. Pets continuously attempt to move to that spot. Similar rules to Stay.
  • PetCommand Action Dismiss.png Dismiss - Causes the pet(s) to disappear from the pet window. Henchmen and other summoned pets immediately despawn. Heavies and Turrets in Recluse's Victory hang around.

Conflict

  • PetCommand ConflictingCommand.png This icon is displayed in the pet window when two or more pets that fall under the same power are given different commands . This does not indicate an error. It is simply informational.

Unused

  • PetCommand Action Bodyguard.png Bodyguard - Set your pets to Follow and Defend you, ensuring they are eligible and within range for Supremacy damage sharing. An example command for use with /macro_image.
Set up with the following: /macro_image "PetCommand_Action_Bodyguard" "Bodyguard" "petcom_all follow defensive"

Common Uses

Binding the petcom command to keys or using them in macros can greatly increase your survivability through better control of your henchmen. See Mastermind, and Mastermind Numpad Pet Controls, which makes use of the petcom command through bind files.

This is also applicable to the control of Heavies and Pillboxes in the PvP zone, Recluse's Victory.

Power(truncated) is the name of the power that was used to summon the pet. If you use the full power name with spaces, then you must put the name of the power in quotes. However binds get broken if there are quotes inside of quotes. Therefore it is best to truncate the power name. Since all the summon powers are unique for the first three or four letters, you can truncate them as such. However, if you use an abbreviation that has letters common with two summon powers, the command will be sent to all pets that match those powers. In Ninjas, we have Call Genin, Call Jounin, and Oni. If the command is petcom_pow nin def fol, then all the Genins and Jounins will change their stance to Defensive and their orders to Follow, but the Oni will not change it's stance/orders.

Petname(truncated) can be used the same way as power(truncated) can. Pretend you've renamed the three minions to Harold Smith, Jeff Johnson, and Michael Thorson. All of them have the letter O in their name, but only two have the letter I. Two of them have "son" in their name. And finally, two of them have the letters "TH" in common. They all have spaces in their name, and creating binds/macros with spaces and quotes can, and will, break. So you can shorten their names to just their last names.
