Overview

The Arachnoids are monstrosities that infest the subterranean labyrinth called "The Web" under the isle of Warburg as well as sections of Grandville.

Arachnoids are part of Project Fury as discovered during Dr. Forrester's mission arc of the same name. They are former Arachnos soldiers "volunteered" for a super-soldier program. They are injected with "venom" from Lord Recluse himself, causing horrible mutations at the reward of immense strength and capabilities. Some have their vocal capabilities "removed", presumably to prevent the release of the knowledge of their origin!

Their true nature is also known about by other factions within the game. The Malta Operative splinter cell known as the Scorpion Gang threatens to reveal the secret to the world, only to be taken down forcibly by Arbiter Daos at the cost of his own son.

Biff is an intelligent Arachnoid, much different than the savage variety typically found in the Gutter of Grandville. He is attempting to find a cure for the Arachnoid condition.

Widdershins

Widdershins is a leader of the Arachnoids inhabiting the Gutter area of Grandville. He is strong and vicious!

Widdershins appears in the Dr. Forrester mission: Get DNA sample from Widdershins
