I think you'll get along very well with the man from Powers Division, very well.

The man's name is Transmuter. He was once a powerful mage who fought alongside Emperor Cole, but those days are far behind him now, far behind him. He is now in charge of the organization of Powers Division within Imperial City.

The Transmuter will be able to move your fame and power forward with your very own group of Powers Division. It should prove very interesting. Very interesting indeed.

Mr. G's Image

You don't know why, but sometimes out of the corner of your eye, you can swear you see Mr. G. When you look, you see that no one is there. You can't help but feel that he's still watching you, even after the time you worked with him, which you call...

Personal Monster

It began with the news that Eddie Polstra had gone missing. Eddie had become a fairly big name in Imperial City: whoever would save him would become even bigger. You teamed up with Mr. G to look for Eddie with the promise of fame and fortune. You first went into the tunnels of Imperial to find Eddie, though all you found were ghouls and evidence that Eddie was somewhere nearby. You called Mr. G for more information and relayed information on what exactly he should tell the press.

You pushed further into the tunnels and finally encountered Eddie, only for him to tell you that he would not return to the surface until he found a mythical 'monster' that was the key to some 'invasion'. He also claimed that the beast had the Maelstrom Device, the same technology that was keeping Eddie alive. Eddie teleported away, leaving you back at square one. You spoke again with Mr. G, who proposed an investigation into the Maelstrom Device that was within Eddie's chest.

You decided to trick the Resistance to attack the lab you were heading to, which would make you look all the better when you swooped in there to save the day. However, instead of the Resistance showing up, you found the Syndicate in the lab. You cleared the lab and found data on the Maelstrom Device, which revealed that only one other was made apart from Eddie's. Whoever gave Eddie the Maelstrom Device had stolen it from Praetoria!

You were able to track down Eddie once more to tell him the news. This seemed to make a fine impact on him; Eddie agreed to return to the surface with you, saying that the monster was of no more consequence if it was truly from Praetoria. You and Eddie fought off some members of the Resistance whom Mr. G so graciously sent your way.

When you returned to the surface, the people of Imperial City hailed you as a hero, while Eddie Polstra slowly faded from the public eye. It was your time to shine in Imperial City, and you would be sure to bask in the limelight as long as possible.

Part One: The Girl Called Baker

Briefing

Very good to see you, Character, very good. I believe you and I have a great deal of work ahead of us. Before we begin, I would like to make a request. There is a woman by the name of Tami Baker. She is the capable secretary of Praetor Sinclair, very capable.

I would like you to deliver this package to her. It contains the details of your previous exploits here in Praetoria. Nothing too revealing, just enough to make you look good, very good. This is going to be given to Praetor Sinclair, personally. It will take some time for this to reach him, but I believe by that time you will have achieved enough power and fame that nothing else would be required to convince Praetor Sinclair of your stature.

Do you mind doing this small task for me, Character?

  • (Take the Package.)

Perfect.

Mr. G hands you a small package. It feels as if there are numerous stacks of paper in here, all filled with reports on your exploits.

Ms. Baker will be expecting you, quite expecting you.

Unnecessary Solicitation

Have you met with Ms. Baker yet?

Mission Objective(s)

  • Meet with Tami Baker

Briefing

Hello! Tami Baker, at your service. What can I do for you today?

  • I'm Character. Mr. G said you were expecting me.

Oh! Yes, of course I was expecting you! Mr. G has told me ALL about you and the work you're doing, all about it! He's pretty confident that Mr. Sinclair will be blown away by all the work that you've done. Unfortunately, Mr. Sinclair is a very busy man; it will be some time until he receives these papers. But I'll make sure to get it to him right away!

If only he weren't pre-occupied with his own private matters and that of Powers Division, he could get to this sooner! All of Imperial is concerned about it, all of Imperial!

  • Who is this missing Powers Division?

His name's Eddie Polstra.

He was supposed to be our newest and best defense against those Resistance scum. But now he's just vanished - here one day, gone the next! Praetor Sinclair is trying to get an investigation going, but he's busy trying to run several other operations. We've heard rumors that someone is going around killing members of Powers Division, but Praetor Sinclair has ruled out that possibility for Eddie. It's an awful situation, just awful!

The people of the city are crying out for someone to save this poor member of Powers Division!

Eddie Polstra seems to have gotten in over his head. If Tami Baker's information is true, the people of Imperial City are concerned about Eddie's safety, including Praetor Sinclair. This could be the perfect time for you to swoop in and make a name for yourself in Imperial. Saving Eddie Polstra will open a lot of doors for you to gain more power and fame within Imperial; you might even be able to show up Praetor Sinclair! It would be best to speak with Mr. G and see what exactly he can do to help you with this assignment.

  • Thanks for the information, Tami. I'll be on my way.

Debriefing

Back from speaking with Ms. Baker? Hrm, Mr. Polstra? Yes, I'm familiar with his untimely disappearance.

You wish to uncover his whereabouts, Character? Yes, I can help you with that, I can definitely help you with that. This is the reason why I wanted to work with you, Character, you are a proactive being, very proactive. An opportunity presents itself and you seize it.

I just so happen to have some interests in Mr. Polstra. I can see this operation benefitting both of our goals, yes, very much benefitting both of us.

Here, this is my personal contact information. You can reach me at any time. Most need to go through my secretary, but I believe you and I are far past that point.

Part Two: Among Monsters

Briefing

I've used my resources to try to locate Mr. Polstra. It's been rather difficult pinning down his exact location, rather difficult. His speciality is being immune to Praetor Tilman's psychic powers. This allows him to stay completely 'off the grid', so to say. I have no doubt, however, that Mr. Polstra is out fighting for the safety of Praetoria, wherever he is. And you will look just as good when you rescue him, yes?

Enough with the idle chitchat though, enough with that. We don't have an exact location, but I do know of where he may have been last seen. Some of my sources within the Praetorian government say that he was last seen fighting off hordes of ghouls in the nearby tunnels. This would be the best place for you to check, Character.

  • Excellent. Alert the press that I'm beginning my search.

I've already done so, in the interest of keeping things flowing smoothly. While you are out searching, TPN will be running a piece detailing the beginnings of your search, and that you swear to leave no stone unturned until Eddie Polstra is rescued. I believe it will catch the attention of many people here within Imperial City, many people. When you have some more information on these matters, feel free to call me. I'll be waiting.

Unnecessary Solicitation

It's best that you get moving, Character. Time may or may not be of the essence.

Mission Objective(s)

File:Map TUNNELS TO IMPERIALTUNNELS.png
Map: TUNNELS_TO_IMPERIALTUNNELS

The rotting stench of ghouls fills the air, even this far above the tunnels. Looks like you'll be going deep into their territory to find Eddie...

  • Track Eddie's Last Location
    • Look for any evidence of Eddie Polstra's whereabouts
    • Move to the next part of the tunnels to find Eddie

The trail leading to Eddie Polstra continues on... you should contact Mr. G to see if he has any more information on this.

Enemies

Ghouls
Destroyers
Resistance

Notable NPCs

You've found something odd in one of the ghoul's collars.

Clue
Odd Beeping

After knocking out one of the ghouls, you heard an odd beep come from one of their collars. You picked it up and looked inside of it to see a a red light flashing in a pattern. The flashing stopped after a few moments, as if the source of the flash was turned off.

You took down one of the lead ghouls and found something interesting!

Clue
Eddie's Trail

You noticed that the large ghoul you defeated had several bullet wounds on its back; these were not made during your fight with it. Looking around the area, you can see similar marks around the walls. It seems Eddie was here for a brief amount of time. You'll have to keep moving forward to find him.

Part Three: Polstra's Crusade

Call Mr. G for Information

Mission Objective(s)

  • Call Mr. G for Information

Briefing

Character, good to see you're still alive. I didn't think the ghouls would best you, but you can never be too careful. What information do you have?

  • I'm on Eddie's trail, but I need some more help with his exact location.

Character, I've got the information you need, just the right information. My sources tell me Mr. Polstra's location should be in the tunnels nearby. Here are the rough coordinates. Do be careful, however. I've pooled together information from many of my own contacts, and it would appear that Eddie went through a group of Resistance.

By the way, TPN aired the initial report that you were looking for Eddie. They're looking to get another statement about your progress. What shall I divulge to those good reporters? We'll need something short for them to ponder on.

  • Tell them I believe Eddie has been kidnapped by the Resistance.
Very well, I'll spread the word that Eddie has been captured by members of the Resistance.
  • Excellent. I'll be on my way.
Clue
Edward Polstra - Kidnapped

You told Mr. G to let TPN know that Eddie Polstra was kidnapped by the Resistance.

  • Tell them that I stopped a horde of ghouls from getting into Imperial City.
Ghouls? Interesting way to get the blood going, very interesting. I'll let TPN know of the threat that you stopped while looking for Eddie.
  • Excellent. I'll be on my way.
Clue
The Ghoul Horde

You told Mr. G to let TPN know that you stopped a horde of Ghouls from entering Imperial City while searching for Eddie Polstra.

  • Tell them that I vow to start a campaign to make the tunnels safer for the people.
That's very spirited of you Character, very spirited. I'll let those reporters know of your noble campaign to keep all the people of Praetoria safe from those monsters.
  • Excellent. I'll be on my way.
Clue
The Great Campaign

You told Mr. G to let TPN know that in addition to your search for Eddie, you've vowed to start a campaign to make the tunnels in Praetoria safer for the people.

Catch up with Eddie Polstra

Unnecessary Solicitation

TPN is having a field day with your report, Character.

Mission Objective(s)

File:Map TUNNELS TO PEOPLESPARK.png
Map: TUNNELS_TO_PEOPLESPARK

You can hear the slurred voices of the Resistance, yelling to find the 'red lolipop chomper-face'.

  • Catch up with Eddie Polstra
    • Look for anything of interest (Optional)
    • Take out the Resistance guarding the front area
    • Track down Eddie Polstra
    • Exit back to the surface

You'll have to figure out what exactly Eddie was talking about before you can move forward.

Maelstrom

Enemies

Resistance

Notable NPCs

With the Resistance defeated, you can make your way through their base a little easier now.

You've opened up a link to the Static and overheard some information!

Clue
Resistance Static

You're able to overhear some of the Resistance talking over the Static, though it takes a few minutes for you to translate what they're actually saying. It would appear there's a man here named Dark Watcher. The Resistance doesn't go into detail about who he is or what he wants, but they claim that he's here to 'help swing the tide against Cole'.

Briefing

You? Who are you? Wait... I've heard of you. Character.

What are you doing down here? They send you to 'save' me?

  • I sent myself. What are you doing down here?

The monster, Character! They're trying to invade us. I saw it myself. I'm not going to rest until I track it down. If it is what I think it is, then it could mean that great destruction is on the horizon for Praetoria. I'm not going to let that happen.

  • Calm down. What monster? What are you talking about?

Do you see my chest? This is a Maelstrom Device. It was made by the people back where I'm from and only where I'm from.

I was patrolling in the sewers, looking for these Resistance scum, when I came across this monster. It was at least the size of five ghouls, Character. And it had my Maelstrom Device attached to its chest! The beast and I fought, though it knew the tunnels better than I and got away.

I can't rest until I find the monster, Character, it's the first sign of an invasion here, an invasion I have to stop!

  • Look, Eddie, we can figure this out. Just come back to the surface with me.

I'm not going anywhere, Character. I'm not going to rest until this monster, and the invasion, are stopped!

Eddie pushes a button, activating a teleporter!

  • ... great.

Part Four: Your Own Personal Hero

Call Mr. G about Eddie's encounter

Mission Objective(s)

  • Call Mr. G about Eddie's encounter

Briefing

Character, interesting timing, very interesting. TPN just finished their report about your progress.

Were you able to find Eddie?

  • In a way. He's chasing some sort of monster.

A monster, you say? Interesting, very interesting.

I assume you spoke to him, yes? Did he say anything else?

  • (Explain to Mr. G what happened)

Hrm... this is all fascinating, Character. Just fascinating. I've heard some rumors about this Maelstrom Device. Give me a minute to call an informant of mine. His name is Anton. It can be a little... difficult to get in touch with him, so this could take a few moments. In the meantime, I shall get my secretary to get me more information about this monster.

  • (Wait for Mr. G's results)

I apologize for the wait, Character. Anton told me what I needed to know, though my secretary was less helpful. I regret to say that I do not know the identity of this monster Eddie spoke of. I do, however, have information regarding this Maelstrom Device.

It appears that it was manufactured by Neuron Technologies Unlimited; in other words, by Neuron. That's all the information I could currently retrieve, but it may be enough for us to move forward, yes, quite enough to move forward. I know of a lab here in Praetoria that has data files from Neuron Technologies Unlimited. I imagine you could find more information on the Maelstrom Device there. It would probably be quite simple to just walk in there and get the information.

While it would be simple to just walk in there and get the information on the device, there would be nothing really on your end to gain from it. No fame, no show of power, no publicity. It would almost be a waste of time. Unless you could get a group, say, the Resistance, to attack the lab you're going to. Why not? You'll be there anyway, you can easily swat the Resistance down while you're there. You'll get the information you need and look good to the people of Imperial City while doing it!

  • (Explain your plan of luring the Resistance to Mr. G)

Excellent idea, Character, truly excellent. This is why I enjoy working with you far more than that Reese. He did not have the wit that you do. Luring the Resistance to the lab will be an excellent way to take out one of their groups here in Imperial, while also improving your own reputation. I can get on that right away. By the time you arrive there, it should be properly embroiled in chaos, very properly.

Before you go, however... there is the matter of the reporters. They wish to know what your next move is.

  • Tell them Eddie was brainwashed by the Resistance. I'm going to the labs to cure him.
The brainwashed angle? Interesting, Character, very interesting. I'll let the public know what you're up to.
  • Good, I'm off to the labs.
Clue
Edward Polstra - Brainwashed

You told Mr. G to let TPN know that Eddie had been brainwashed by the Resistance, and that you're going to Neuron's lab in Imperial to help cure him.

  • Inform the people that I defeated several Resistance leaders to find Eddie.
Always a good angle to bring up the Resistance leaders, always a good angle. I'll bring this to the press right away.
  • Good, I'm off to the labs.
Clue
Resistance Leaders

You told Mr. G to let TPN know that you took down several high ranking members of the Resistance during your search for Eddie.

  • Tell them all the signs point to Eddie being dead, but I won't give up until I know for sure.
That will strike a chord with the public, definitely strike a chord. I'll put the word out about his possible death.
  • Good, I'm off to the labs.
Clue
Polstra - Dead?

You told Mr. G to let TPN know that Eddie Polstra may be considered dead, but that you won't give up until you've gone through every nook and cranny in Imperial City to find him.

'Save the Day' at Neuron's lab

Unnecessary Solicitation

I trust saving the day is going according to plan?

Mission Objective(s)

File:Map P Tech 45 Layout 04 01.png
Map: P_Tech_45_Layout_04_01

You walk into the labs to see them embroiled in chaos, just as planned. However, you see signs that this was done by...the Syndicate?

  • 'Save the Day' at Neuron's lab
    • Access the lab's database.
    • Take down the Syndicate boss

You took down Michael Haworth and found information on the Maelstrom Device!

Warrant

Syndicate

Notable NPCs

Clue
Warrant's Investigation

You ran into Warrant in Neuron's labs and helped him with a group of Syndicate. Afterwards, he explained to you that he was in the labs on an investigation. It appears that several lower members of the Powers Division have turned up dead in the tunnels of Nova and Imperial. The markings on their bodies suggest they weren't killed by the Resistance.

You found details on the Maelstrom Device!

Clue
The Maelstrom device

You scanned through the lab's database and found a document detailing work done on the Maelstrom Device. It appears that there were only two models made; both met unfortunate ends. The first was stolen from the labs after completion some time ago. The second was grafted onto a volunteer from the PPD, though it says that further experiments on melding the device with the agent went awry, causing the experiment to be cancelled. You're still left not knowing who exactly the monster is that Eddie Polstra is chasing, but at least you know now that it's not part of an invasion.

You defeated Michael Haworth and found some information about the corporation he's in.

Clue
Haworth and Holon Labs

You defeated Michael Haworth and found a card in his jacket. It identifies him as the CTO of Holon Labs, a corporation in Imperial City that deals with testing the areas around Praetoria for any signs of Devouring Earth spores.

Part Five: The New Monster

Call Mr. G regarding the Maelstrom Device

Mission Objective(s)

  • Call Mr. G regarding the Maelstrom Device

Briefing

Character, Imperial City is alive with talk of your exploits, simply alive. Some scientists from Neuron's lab have already gone to TPN to tell them of you saving the day. Were you able to find information regarding the Maelstrom Device?

  • I was. Eddie is wrong about an invasion, though I believe I learned something about his origin.

His origin? What do you mean?

  • The Maelstrom Device Eddie is wearing was stolen from the labs years ago.

Interesting... this is most interesting. I doubt very much that Eddie is aware that this technology is stolen, yes, I quite doubt it. This means that whoever grafted the device on him stole this device right beneath Neuron's nose...

What of the monster he is chasing? Were you able to get any information regarding that?

  • Very little. Something about a failed experiment with someone in the PPD

It seems Neuron has a secret to hide there, if the report does not explain the aftermath of the experiment. Regardless, this will be important information to present to Mr. Polstra. He believes this monster is part of an invasion, wherever he is from. If you can show him evidence that his device was originally made here in this city, he will come to his senses, hopefully.

I've been using some sources of mine to track his positioning, and I believe he is once more down in a den of ghouls in the tunnels. He must believe that is where his monster is. Here are the coordinates where you can find him.

We have to handle one last issue before you're off, one last issue: the report to give to TPN on your current progress.

  • Tell them about the Syndicate and Holon labs.
Good angle, the people will be interested to know that the Syndicate had a man in Holon Labs. I'll get this information out as soon as I can.
  • Great, I'm off to retrieve Eddie.
Clue
Syndicate and Holon Labs

You told Mr. G to reveal that Michael Haworth is a member of the Syndicate and that you're on the verge of saving Eddie.

  • Let them know that I paused my efforts with Eddie to save that lab from the Syndicate.
It's always good to try to garner the compassion of the people in that manner. I'll get the word out about this.
  • Great, I'm off to retrieve Eddie.
Clue
Kindness of your Heart

You told Mr. G to inform TPN that you paused your operations to save Eddie in order to stop the Syndicate from invading Neuron's lab.

If you let Warrant help you in the previous mission

  • Tell them Warrant and I stormed the lab to protect Eddie and Praetoria from the Syndicate.
Oh, you ran into Warrant? Interesting. I did not think you were one to 'share the spotlight' as it were, did not think that. I'll let TPN know of this latest event.
  • Great, I'm off to retrieve Eddie.
Clue
The New Team

You told Mr. G to mention to TPN that you and Warrant teamed up to fight off the Syndicate in Neuron's lab.

Players who were originally part of the Resistance can call up Calvin Scott to inform him of current events. This will begin the storyline of working undercover in the Powers line for Loyalists.

Briefing

You again! Why won't you just let me find the monster?! This is to protect the people of Praetoria!

  • (Show Eddie the details on the Maelstrom Device)

What...? The device was made... here? In Praetoria?

But that means... Character, this changes everything! I've been a fool, the monster is minor compared to this. Do you know what all this means?! The invasion, they've known about Praetoria longer than I believed!

  • What is this invasion you're talking about?

Where I come from, they want to destroy Praetoria and everything that it stands for. I thought all this time they made this device of mine and that they made that monster. But if they were able to steal this device from Neuron... it can only mean that they have more details on Praetoria than I could have possibly imagined!

I have to go speak with Cole, with White, with someone about this. I can't let them invade us, I won't let them, even if I have to go back there!

  • Alright, so we can both go back to the surface now.
This selection loops to another branch of this conversation which is already documented. (A)

If you contacted Calvin Scott

  • Before we go, Eddie, I have a question. Where are you -really- from?
Where I'm really from?
So, I guess you don't believe all the talk that I'm from Old San Jose, huh? Why do you want to know, anyway?
  • I helped you out this much, didn't I? I can help you further with this 'invasion', if needed.
Alright... but this stays between the two of us, Character. I'm from another dimension. That is why the Praetors are keeping these secrets about me. This other world is planning a massive invasion against Praetoria. I was to be one of the first agents to cross over and scout the area. That dimension... it's full of chaos and destruction; it's nothing like the world of Praetoria.
We have to do everything in our power to make sure those scum never make it through into this world, Character! Do you understand?
  • I do. Now, let's get going. (A)
Almost as if on command, you hear the frenzied footsteps of Resistance soldiers bearing down on you and Polstra!
  • Resistance! This should be good!
Clean up matters with Mr. G

Mission Objective(s)

  • Clean up matters with Mr. G

Briefing

The people of Imperial are thrilled to have Maelstrom back, Character, absolutely thrilled.

You're being proclaimed as a hero, someone who the people can really put their faith in to save the day. In preparation for your return, I had TPN send me the first copy of their news report on your quest to save Eddie Polstra. Care to have a look?

  • Sure, let's see what they said.

Character Saves Edward Polstra, Thwarts Resistance Plot

If you chose the "kidnapped" option for the first news update

Earlier today, Character rescued Edward Polstra from the clutches of the Resistance, and we at TPN were with him / her every step of the way during this bold investigation.

It all began when Character had a possible lead on Edward Polstra's location. He / She descended into the tunnels to find Edward and discovered, to our horror, that Edward had been kidnapped by high-ranking officials in the Resistance! Of course, Character was not afraid of facing the Resistance, having carved a path through many of them already!

If you chose the "Ghouls" option for the first news update

Earlier today, Character rescued Edward Polstra from the clutches of the Resistance, and we at TPN were with him / her every step of the way during this bold investigation.

It all began when Character had a possible lead on Edward Polstra's location. He / She descended into the tunnels to find Edward. Though there was no trace of Edward Polstra, Character stopped a horde of Ghouls from getting into Imperial City. We estimate that Character, alone, held back over two hundred ghouls!

If you chose the "campaign" option for the first news update

Earlier today, Character rescued Edward Polstra from the clutches of the Resistance, and we at TPN were with him / her every step of the way during this bold investigation.

It all began when Character had a possible lead on Edward Polstra's location. He / She descended into the tunnels to find Edward. Character could not find Edward at first. However, the experience helped to forge a new goal for Character: to make the tunnels a safer place. Reports say that Character saved several civilians who were trapped down there, while also bringing in members of the Resistance who were trying to tame wild ghouls for their own ends!

If you chose the "brainwashed" option for the second news update

Character continued his / her search for Edward Polstra, only to uncover a shocking revelation: Edward Polstra had been brainwashed by the Resistance! This was something that Character expected, of course! Without missing a beat, Character declared that the solution was simple: one of Neuron's labs in Imperial City would hold the answer for Eddie's condition.

If you chose the "Resistance" option for the second news update

Character pushed forward on the search for Edward, confronting one of the major leaders of the Resistance in Imperial. This leader tried to sway Character with petty gifts and insults to our great Emperor Cole, but Character was not someone who would listen to such nonsense. He / She took down the leader, along with fifty other members of the Resistance, all by himself / herself! Yet with that finished, Edward Polstra was no where to be found! Character had one last lead: one of Neuron's labs in Imperial City. With this, Character could discover Edward Polstra's location!

If you chose the "dead" option for the second news update

Character fought through an almost endless amount of Resistance in the tunnels, all of them threatening to do great harm to our fair Imperial City. A few members of the Resistance were even plotting to sink part of the island! Though the Resistance were no match for Character's true power, they made a terrifying claim: that Edward Polstra was dead, killed by their hands.

Character refused to believe this, however, and decided there was one place that he / she could go to get answers: one of Neuron's labs in Imperial City. Character could use the resources there to try to find Edward Polstra's exact location.

If you chose the "Holon Labs" option for the third news update

Character put on an amazing display in Neuron's lab when he / she walked in to find it was under attack by the Syndicate! Wasting no time, Character dispatched the vile members of the Syndicate, preventing them from blowing up the entire building.

Character also arrested Michael Haworth, the CTO of Halon Labs. He is currently being held by the PPD and is awaiting judgment on his sentence for collaborating with the Syndicate. Provost Marchand has commented that no mercy will be shown to someone in such a high position of power within the city.

Meanwhile, Character obtained what was needed in Neuron's lab and was able to finally locate our dear Edward Polstra in the sewers! A horde of Resistance descended upon the two, but Character bravely fought them off, allowing a badly injured Edward Polstra to get away.

Edward Polstra is now back in the safety of Imperial City, all thanks to the work done by Character. I think it's safe to say that Imperial City has a new hero, and his / her name is Character!

If you chose the "paused efforts" option for the third news update

Character had already been through enough in the tunnels, fighting armies of Resistance and Ghouls. As usual, though, Character once again saved the day in Neuron's lab, despite all that he / she had already done for us. The Syndicate were invading Neuron's lab, threatening to unleash several dirty bombs. Character disarmed the bombs and took down the Syndicate, saving the entire lab and part of Imperial City from certain destruction.

Character obtained what was needed in Neuron's lab and was able to finally locate our dear Edward Polstra in the sewers!

If you chose the "Warrant" option for the third news update

Character encountered Warrant, another member of Powers Division, inside of Neuron's lab. Warrant was trying to fight off the Syndicate, who had broken into the facility. Despite his best efforts, Warrant could not push them back. It was only thanks to Character's intervention that the tide was turned. Character and Warrant went on to put down all the invading Syndicate, safely securing the lab for the good of Praetoria. The two parted ways, Warrant having to go recover from his wounds.

Character, however, was far from done. He / She obtained what was needed in Neuron's lab and was able to finally locate our dear Edward Polstra in the sewers!

  • Hrm, pretty good article, Mr. G.

Yes, I believe it fits you perfectly, Character. Take some time to bask in this, then give me a call. I'm finishing up a few loose ends, just a few. I think you'll be very interested to see what I've come up with.

  • Alright, sounds good.

Debriefing

I have to say, Character, it was an absolute pleasure working with you, absolute pleasure. I told you I had something interesting in store for you, and I intend to follow through on that. That paperwork is still going through to Praetor Sinclair, but in the meantime I've managed to get you in with a man who wishes to give you your own squad of Powers Division. It seems that some... powers that be have taken notice of your abilities and wish to give you more power. I believe this is the end that you were aiming for, yes? I can tell you who exactly you must speak to in order to move forward with this new career track of yours.

Trivia

Mr. G's name, appearance, and odd speech patterns make it likely that he is a reference to G-Man from the Half-Life video game series.
