Undercover cop

I am unsure about the existence of a variant of the Undercover Cop, this one having a semiautomatic piltol instead of two revolvers. I'd swear I saw one of such cops in Kings Row, but deleted the screenshots. Sigh =/.

Can someone else confirm his existence, please? Someone else has sseen such cop?
