Overview

The Crucible is a location which only Villains and Rogues can enter in which players can access portals to Strike Forces as well as a number of Stores and Vendors usually found in Supergroup Bases. It is located on the South-Western side of Mercy Island on the Western side of the primary Arachnos building in Mercy, and is indicated on the map by a green dot.

The entrance is at loc. -980.2 239.0 276.4.

Task Force Contact

While there is no specific task force associated with The Crucible, the four Patrons (as well as Arbiter Rein and Becky, the Tarantula Mistress) are available with nearby portals leading directly to Barracuda, Ice Mistral, Silver Mantis, Operative Renault, Dr. Aeon and Lord Recluse allowing you to start their associated Strike Forces. You cannot purchase inspirations from these NPCs, they are solely links to the associated strike force NPCs.

Transfer Points

Villians can exit The Crucible back into Mercy Island, and also to other zones by teleporting to Strike Force contacts.

Villain Groups

Multiple villain groups are represented as NPCs. They are not able to be attacked.

Long Range Teleporter

Players can unlock access to The Crucible in the Long Range Teleporter via either completing any Arachnos-affiliated Strike Force or obtaining the badge Blackened Soul for completing the second Hearts of Darkness arc from Dr. Graves.
