Enable support for AlienFX/LightFX case lights.
- 0 = Disable, 1 = Enable.
- From the Homecoming Forums: "This was a feature that was added when Alien sold boxes with CoH and CoV characters painted on them ... Depending on what side you played on the lights in your computer would turn blue or red. Probably still works if you can find a CoH box from back then. I remember asking about it at one point and was told it was never looked at and probably could not be modified for today’s computers." @WanderingAries
- Alienware lighting support was first added to the Options window in the patch dated Aug. 16, 2010. At the time, the option was defaulted to "on" so any player with the AlienFX Command Center and appropriate hardware would instantly see color changes.
- In City of Heroes / City of Villains, the lights would change as a player's character changes their alignment from Hero to Vigilante to Villain to Rogue.
- In Praetoria the lights would change as players make moral choices between Resistance or Loyalist.
- In addition to the features introduced in I18 which changed the lighting to match the player's current alignment, in I19 more triggers caused lighting FX. E.g., being low on HP would cause the keyboard to glow red and flash.
- Computers/laptops from 2010-2012 will probably still run the command as long as the old AlienFX software is installed. Alienware FX was an application that was integrated into the Alienware Command Center that allows you to control the lighting on the chassis, keyboard, and mouse of Alienware products.
