Vanity Pet

Overview

A Vanity Pet is any permanent pet that does not participate in combat, neither by attacking nor providing buffs to the player character. All vanity pet summons are toggles, and only one vanity pet toggle may be active at a time. If a second vanity pet is summoned, the first vanity pet will despawn.

Non-combat pets obtained on a temporary basis, like escort hostages in missions, are not considered vanity pets.

Characters can obtain vanity pets from the S.T.A.R.T. Vendor, except for the Spider Pet which is obtained via the Halloween Event, and three very expensive vanity pets (Mini Statesman, Mini Tyrant, and Mini Lord Recluse) from Luna.

Created from Recipes

Each Giant Monster has a chance to drop its mini-pet recipe as a reward for defeating it. They commonly require 1 Prismatic Aether and 2,500,000 inf to craft.

Anniversary Pets

These can be purchased with Anniversary Tokens from Luna, or dropped during the Anniversary event.

Void Hunter or Nictus drops

These recipes have a very small chance of dropping from Boss-level or higher Void Hunter or Nictus foes.
