Overview
The Paragon Dance Party (PDP) was created in an early issue as a Hero only zone. Its release to the live servers was supposedly an accident but was kept due to fan request. The zone was replaced by Pocket D and was disconnected from player access until Issue 25.
This social zone was run by DJ Zero, who did not appear in game until Pocket D was created sometime between the release of City of Villains (Issue 6) and Issue 7. Though intended as a no-fire zone without enemy spawns, there was one instance when enemies appeared inside the zone. The day Issue 3 launched, Council and 5th Column troops battled in every zone in game, including spawning inside the Paragon Dance Party.
Currently, the Paragon Dance Party is empty, not even NPCs loiter around. This makes for a perfect place to host supergroup meetings, costume contests, or any number of social activities where a large number of heroes are expected.
Transfer Points Within PDP
- Side doors to Talos Island located at (230.4, 0.2, 133.0).
- Side doors to Independence Port located at (538.1, 0.2, 127.0).
- Two destinations to Steel Canyon through the center doors at (366.4, 0.0, -29.2). The doors will randomly send you to either the North or South entrances in Steel Canyon.
PDP Access
Access was restored during Issue 25; flyers mark the entrances, along with a bum with appropriate dialogue in some locations. It remains a hero-only social zone, however.
- Talos Island entrance at (403, 160, 5573).
- Independence Port entrance at (-837, 0, 1222).
- Steel Canyon:
- The North Steel Canyon entrance at (-1680, 0, -2725)
- The South Steel Canyon entrance at (-4316, -100, 1778).
