You fished this military beret out of the sea after your battle with Colonel Duray, the leader of the Sky Raiders. It's only fitting you have a trophy, after you fought the Colonel and his
Pirates of the Skies
You'd heard rumors that the Sky Raiders had upset someone big inside Arachnos, and a few questions had led you to Silver Mantis. The henchwoman, favorite assassin, and some say lover of Black Scorpion, she had a mission for a group of villains willing to crush the Sky Raiders for stepping over the line.
The first mission was easy enough. The Sky Raiders were desperate for any edge they could get. So desperate, in fact, that they were planning to steal the secrets of the Tsoo's tattoo magic. Silver Mantis sent you in to crush them and kidnap some Tsoo tattoo artists for the Mu Mystics of Arachnos to interrogate.
The Sky Raider's next target was a hospital the Lost had put together in an unused office building. Seems they had some alien medicines from the Rikti War that the Raiders wanted. You stole the medicines from both sides, and dealt out a prescription for pain to anyone who crossed your path.
The Freakshow had set themselves up a little import/export business to bring cybernetics, weapons, and drugs over from the mainland. The Sky Raiders wanted to steal their shipments, Arachnos wanted them stopped, and Arachnos was also upset with the Freaks for keeping all of this secret and not paying Arachnos their cut. But Silver Mantis and Arachnos were the ones who'd hired you to make what they wanted to happen, happen. Too bad for Freaks and the Raiders.
Silver Mantis's next mission sent you far off to Striga Island, where the Council was trying to sell some of their enhancement technology to the Sky Raiders. You snuck in through the vents and put a violent end to the negotiations and the negotiators.
The Sky Raiders' next target was a Crey Lab, hidden beneath an office building. Mantis ordered you to stop them, and to bring back information on what Crey was up to. It turns out that Crey was hard at work developing cloned synthetic super-humans, technology and techniques that the Sky Raiders were eager to steal. You cleaned the place out, stopping the Raiders and leaving no one at Crey to say who might have learned what. Finally, it was time to bring it all down. You snuck aboard a container ship full of things stolen by the Sky Raiders. You fought your way out, and attacked the Sky Raider's floating off-shore base, setting it ablaze. Tired of your interference and all the damage you've cause, Colonel Duray himself joined the fight, determined to take you down.
The Sky Raiders' shot at the big-time is over for now. You've broken their dreams, and left their sea-base a sinking inferno. Silver Mantis was pleased with your work, and promised to send word along to Black Scorpion of your success. She also says that Arachnos fished Duray out of the sea, and have him in their custody now for questioning, but who knows how long that will last? The Rogue Isles have always been a haven for pirates, and you're pretty sure that the Pirates of the Skies will return once more.
