Briefing

Everything is set, Character. The time has come to unleash our plan. The devices are all hooked up to the ghouls and will react properly when they've reached a certain threshold of pain.

We've got them packed up and shipped out to one of the main office buildings of the PPD. Just imagine how it'll look in the headlines, the people seeing ghouls out of the tunnels, slaughtering their beloved PPD. Who could they trust after that, knowing that the PPD couldn't fight the ghouls? How could the ghouls have possibly gotten out of the tunnels? Perhaps, most of all, these sheep of Cole will begin to question where the ghouls truly came from.

• I'm assuming I'm leading the attack on the office, right?

Of course. I wouldn't have it any other way. It's crucial that you leave no survivors in that building. Every single member of the PPD in there is going to pay the ultimate price for supporting Cole. We'll be here, waiting eagerly for your return, Character. Marty will be here as well. Vagabond wanted to send him in, but Marty is far too important to waste on this operation.

Players who originally chose Loyalists but have become Resistance have the option to call up Provost Marchand to tell him about events that are happening. This will begin the optional storyline to work undercover in the Crusaders.

Briefing

Character. It's good to see you're still alive. I wasn't sure if you managed to make it through to the Resistance. I imagine you've had to do some things that you aren't proud of.

We all have to sometimes, you must understand. Tell me, what is happening right now?

• (Explain the situation to Marchand)

The ghouls... this is worse than I could have imagined. How low are the Resistance looking to stoop in order to fight us? Alright, Character, I have a plan. I'm sending you a code to use on the alpha ghoul's device.

When you see the alpha ghoul, you'll want to interact with it and input the code. It will short circuit the devices on the ghouls nearby and kill them. You'll still have to deal with the PPD in that building, but I'll handle that aspect. Just make sure that you don't kill them.

• Sounds like a plan, Marchand.

Marchand's Orders

Marchand sent you a code to enter into the alpha ghoul's collar. Using it will short-circuit all the collars and kill the ghouls. You'll still have to fight off the PPD in the office, but Marchand claims he has a plan for that.

You've received a secure message from Provost Marchand:

Good job, Character. I've used some of the Seers that I acquired from Tilman to alter the memory of those PPD. They'll believe they were attacked by other members of the Resistance. It's harsh, but better than being eaten alive by ghouls.

Debriefing

Glorious, Character! That's all I can say. I think we've put the proper fear into the PPD, don't you think? And, we've proven that ghouls can be used to fight for us. These monsters are going to help us turn the tide of the war. The best part is that we won't have to worry about dealing with them when the war is over; we'll just flip a switch, and they'll all explode!

Marty looks to Hatchet.

Except for Marty here. Marty is a prime example of a monster brought into civilization. He will be the one we use to find the other ghouls. He's much too valuable to just throw away like those others.
