TheHotChick: Hai guys! I am super excited! =D I am totally doing the awesomest thing today. Polar Shift and I got these cute little invites from these ancient creepy wizard guys. o_0 I know, I was like ewwwww at first too, but they turned out to be totally awesome. Anyway, so the invites are, I kid you not, on scrolls! Like big roll up scrolls from a kung fu movie or something. They even have these cute little tassles ^_^ I'll totally post pics later.

So, the invites are for this mystical ceremony being held in our honor that will give us tremendous kick-butt powers! I know, I know, it sounds like a trap, but Polar and I agreed that it was just too cool to pass up, so boys, don't worry, I got a friend to make sure they don't try some creepy stuff. kisses! =*

IceQueen: You dummy, they said not to tell anyone, now half the internet knows about it. Ugh, you better hope nobody finds out where we are going. -_-;

TheHotChick: Nobody will be able to find this place. Do you know how many miles of caves there are under the city? Let alone ones filled with creepy wizard dudes. =p

Anyway, that exchange has 23 more comments, none of which offer any useful information... to anyone. Mystic ceremony, super "kick-butt" powers? There is no way that a witless moron like Flambeaux is getting her hands on free power when you would be a far better choice. All you have to do is figure out where they went.

Dumb as she is, Flambeaux wouldn't trust the Circle of Thorns, and the Midnight Squad doesn't hang out in caves... often. She must be talking about the Legacy Chain. It shouldn't be too hard to track down where they are going. The Legacy Chain doesn't have the largest following, so they could only be in a handful of places. You'd better hurry up, that first post by Flambeaux was 4 hours old, they're probably already on their way.

VILLAIN: Take the mystic power for yourself

Briefing

You've checked Flambeaux's social network page again, just in case she posted updates. She did, but nothing of consequence. Once you find the cave she mentioned it shouldn't be very difficult to prove to the Legacy Chain that you are far more worthy for this power than Captain Braindead and Cold Shoulder. After all, the Legacy Chain doesn't mess around.

• Find the cave and take the mystical power for yourself

You'll have to convince the Legacy Chain that you are more worthy than those two head cases. If they put up a fight, so much the better. Maybe a concussion would do Flambeaux some good.

Unnecessary Solicitation

Flambeaux and Polar Shift are most likely already at the ritual. You'll have to hurry if you want to make sure you get this mystical power before them. If anyone stands in your way, you'll make them regret that decision.

Mission Objective(s)

This is definitely the place. You can smell Flambeaux's perfume hanging in the air.

  • Intercept Polar Shift and defeat her
  • Defeat Flambeaux
  • Find Sequester Cromley and talk with him
  • Find the Power of the Prophecy

You determined that the power intended for Flambeaux and Polar Shift could only be obtained by them, and that as per the prophecy, one of them would turn evil in accepting it. If you could not have the power, you reasoned, then allowing those two numb skulls to have it, and have one of them turn evil was not worth it. The power is destroyed, and will never again be a danger to you or any other.

No no no. This is all wrong. The prophecy spoke not of a third. You are not the one who was meant for this ancient knowledge. Why is it that you are here instead of the chosen ones?

• What is this knowledge?

Nonsense. You come here seeking the knowledge and yet know nothing of it? Perhaps you are the fool that the prophecy mentions, but I always thought it was associated with the Selfish One. No matter, no matter. I shall tell you.

We have kept this knowledge for many lifetimes, beneath the waves where it was safe and secure until the time of the prophecy's fulfillment. Our task was to deliver the knowledge to the chosen ones. With this knowledge they will be equipped to deal with the trials that lie ahead of them. It is said that the knowledge bestows power that can only be used by the chosen ones, for they are to be tested by the powers that be.

• Forget the chosen, I am worthy of this power.

Pah. The Prophecy warns against this. The power is too much for any one person to wield. This is why there are two chosen ones. The power gifted to one is balanced by the other. If the power is bestowed upon the wrong person, then it will do nothing, and the chosen will be consumed by eternal shadow. When bestowed upon the chosen ones, however, they have the power to bring great light into the world, or great darkness. It for them to decide which the world needs more.

You would gift such power to Flambeaux and Polar Shift?!

It is they who have been chosen. It is my duty as the keeper of the knowledge to bestow it upon those chosen by the prophecy and to no other.

I will do no such thing. Oaths I have sworn prevent me, and demand that I defend the knowledge, with my very life if need be.

Debriefing

Well, mystical cosmic power was not yours to have, but at least you prevented Flambeaux and Polar Shift from getting it and immediately descending into darkness. If Sequester Cromley was telling the truth, then you did a great deed there. The mystical power was not guaranteed to be a force for good. If you couldn't wield it, then it is better that it not be chanced that it could wind up used for evil. You can't wait to get home and read Flambeaux's follow up post on her social network page. You highly doubt she'll mention the butt kicking you gave her, but at least you won't have to see pictures of her for awhile, what with that black eye you gave her.
