Souvenir's Text

Whenever you look at this shard of metal from a stasis pod, you are reminded of the events you've come to remember as...

Troubled Times

It began when a scientist named Dr. Chris Stribbling contacted you, asking for help dealing with a break-in at his laboratory. He told you that he was working on a way to remove superpowers from mutants and others who had their genetic code altered. Apparently, one of his prime test subjects, a mutant with dangerous, unstable time manipulation powers, had been released during the break-in. You went to investigate and found the lab had been trashed, with clear signs of Freakshow involvement, including a mainframe loaded with Freak-branded malware. After putting the screws to the Freakshow, you learned of a hacker who was meeting with Freaks at a nearby rave. After locating the hacker, you were able to discover that he had been hired to create the malware by a Super Stunner called S4pp3r who was holed up at a nearby Freak safehouse.

When you arrived, you found Longbow already on the premises, but eventually made your way past them to take the fight to the real criminals. You found Miss Thystle working with the Freaks and, after defeating her and S4pp3r, interrogated her. You learned that the mutant was a teenager named Marcus and had been the one to hire the Freaks, Miss Thystle, and the villain Frostfire to break him out. Frostfire and the mutant were on their way to the Rogue Isles at that very moment.

You snuck into the Isles and located the boat they had taken right as it docked up. You confronted Frostfire, who tried to convince you to let Marcus go, revealing that Dr. Stribbling was his father and had been keeping him in stasis to experiment on his cells. Armed with this knowledge, you got past Frostfire and confronted Marcus. You found him to be an angry young man who was insistent that he would kill his father. No matter what you tried, you couldn't dissuade him from remaining in the Isles and pursuing his quest for revenge.
