Meet With Lady Jane
Ambush clarification?
It says "Ambush! Protect the chest! After freeing Lady Jane you will be ambushed by five waves of Circle of Thorns mystics"
Was ambushed by one wave of 3 minions only. Challenge Level 1, solo Scrapper, lvl 12. I -had- entirely cleared all NPCs before freeing lady Jane, as I was sick of having her go off and get killed in some previous occasions, but do not recall five waves before either. - They don't all come at once, and there's a fairly long pause after each wave. Sera404 00:44, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Bug: incompatibility with Vanguard Merit rewards?
Does anyone know if there's a known bug in this arc that prevents the awarding of Vanguard Merits? Dark Horizon became a Member of Vanguard before starting the arc (call me backwards!), and hasn't received any Vanguard Merits despite the sizeable number of Rikti she's defeated. If there is a bug, it should be noted in the article. Dark Horizon 22:45, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- I've never heard of that bug as such, although one way to concretely prove the existence of said bug would be to get in on a rikti raid, and see if the merits start flooding in. Another thing to test would be the compatability with the vanguard base location day job. Sometimes, though, you just get consistantly unlucky with the merit chance rolls. -LightprinceTalk 22:53, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- Probably the latter; she's never had any problem pulling rewards when fighting Rikti anywhere else: RWZ, raids, zones where they spawn on the streets, even other door missions. It seems to be just this arc, but having said that, I did get three for defeating Ci'Dion last night. So probably just bad rolls. Thanks. Dark Horizon 22:09, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Latin Student Text
The text when speaking to the Latin Student has changed. Not sure if it's a bug or not since it no longer lines up with Montague's instructions to deliver the password, so archiving the old text here in case it gets reverted.
You know, I've been trying to work on my Latin. I'm really truly horrible with it. Perhaps you could help me. How is your Latin?
Excello
Which phrase calls out to you?
- Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati
Ah, well. Perhaps I'm not the only one who has problems with Latin. Would you like to try again?
- Si vis pacem, para bellum
Well met, Midnighter. It is true that if one seeks to bring peace, one must also prepare for war. Please enter the club through the door behind me. We have much to discuss. You should read over this briefing on the club. It should help get you up to speed on what we're currently working on.
- Alea jacta est
Ah, well. Perhaps I'm not the only one who has problems with Latin. Would you like to try again?

- Just a CYA question, but you're not trying to talk to the Latin Student on a character who has already opened the Midnighter Club, are you? That's what he says if you've already unlocked. The options are there only when you are in the story arc. User:Aggelakis/Sig1 03:07, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- Gonna run a character through the arc to verify the text. I'll report back in a bit with my results. User:Aggelakis/Sig1 03:08, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- Nope. Noticed it last time I ran a character through the arc, so I paid attention this time. I just completed the mission on a level 10 character who hadn't run the arc yet and that's the text I got. But independent verification is always good. --Eabrace 03:10, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- I'm getting the "old" text, with the "How is your Latin?" and "Excello" and all the choices. User:Aggelakis/Sig1 05:38, 10 September 2009 (UTC)

- You know, for some reason I'm not surprised by this. That arc has been full of weirdness for me lately. I ran it on two separate characters over the weekend and got the same text oddity with the Latin Student as I got when I ran it last night. Both of those characters also encountered an issue with having their The Lost Cure temp power expire after one use despite the power stating it had 50 charges left. Had to call Monty to drop the Cure Lost mission for each of them. And yet, last night the temp power worked normally. It's a bit disturbing. :) --Eabrace 12:41, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- I dropped the Lost Cure mission on Preterition, just cos I had already taken way too long on the mission with Lady Jane (Lowlevel Warshades have an awful, awful time with Circle of Thorns, apparently. I had to go into my base and bring out the big guns (tier 3 insps). :p ) Everything else proceeded normally. Even Lady Jane didn't suicide, I was surprised. :p User:Aggelakis/Sig1 16:12, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
