Introductions
Information
Dedicated Defender of Cimerora
Daedalus is the finest crafter these ancient times have ever seen. His gift borders on Celestial, but is in fact simply his own genius at work.
Wrong Side
I mistrust your motives, Character, and mistrust you. Leave me be.
Contact Unlocked
Daedalus has contacted you...
Character, I require your assistance in Cimerora. Please come as soon as possible.
This contact has now been added to the active tab of your Contact window.
Initial Contact
Well met, stranger. I am Daedalus, a craftsman and defender of this land. Your arrival is well-timed, for I am in need of aid.
Not High Enough Level
I fear that my problems would be too heavy of a burden for you to bear at this point. Pray return when you are more seasoned and perhaps you can aid me then.
Come back when you are Security Level 40.
Greeting
Ave, Character.
Too Busy
Your heroic heart has caused you to accept much responsibility. I would not add to your burden at this time. Pray return later, when there is less weight on your shoulders.
No More Missions
Your aid has been a tremendous boon to me, Character. I am proud to call you friend. I have no more tasks for which I need assistance.

Story Arcs
Daedalus' missions contain characters who are able to identify the player's character by their gender. For the purposes of dialogue recording, the player's character is assumed to be male.
Stolen Power (40-50)
Merit Rewards: This activity awards 3 Reward Merits.
This arc requires the mission holder to leave Cimerora, breaking up any cooperative teams between Heroes and Villains.
Souvenir
Marble Token
This token is a gift from Daedalus, a reminder of how you helped him by recovering the Tabula Scutum, a stolen artifact of great power, in an adventure you've come to call:
Stolen Power
You tracked Ghost Widow through time and prevented the Tabula from being sent to the Rogue Isles. Your service to Daedalus didn't stop there; you fought side-by-side with him to clear out the caves where the artifact's shrine was and then restored the Tabula to power.
Without your help, the Tabula would have been lost to Cimerora forever. Now Daedalus can once again draw upon this power source in his fight against the fell Nictus.
Investigate the theft
Stolen Power
Part One
Briefing
Hail, Character! The guardians of the Tabula Scutum have gone silent and I fear that miscreants from the future have absconded with it. Would you investigate this theft for me?
Mission Acceptance
Please go to the Cavern of the Tabula and determine the fate of this tablet. The Tabula provides me with the energy I need to construct the devices and craftings I use to aid in the protections of my beloved homeland. Without its aid, my craftings are sadly weakened.
I do not understand the ways of the dwellers from your time or I would attend to this matter myself.
I will be grateful for your assistance in this matter. There is no telling what trouble these thieves will cause with such a powerful source in their hands.
Unnecessary Solicitation
Have you recovered my Tabula yet?
Mission Objective(s)
The cave complex is busy with activity, even though Daedalus said the guardians here had gone silent. Something is up.
- Investigate the Theft
- Find the thieves
You find a strange machine that looks like it has just been used.
The Tabula Scutum is gone, but you've found something that might tell you where Ghost Widow and her thieves have taken it. You should consult with Daedalus to see what information can be gleaned from the device.
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Arachnos Leader (Random Arachnos Boss) (Boss)
You finish your investigation
The Tabula Scutum was missing, but this strange device was in its place. Perhaps it is what Arachnos used to remove the Tabula from the cave -- and Cimerora. You should bring the device to Daedalus in the hope of discovering where the thieves have gone.
Debriefing
A valiant attempt, Character. While you did not find the Tabula, this device you've recovered will yield the secret of where these thieves have taken it.
I am proud to call you my friend, Character.
Find the thieves and recover the Tabula
Stolen Power
Part Two
Briefing
This Ghost Widow has used a teleportation device to remove herself and the Tabula Scutum to the future, to a place you call Founder's Falls. I have tracked her destination to a building there, where, for now, the Tabula rests. I fear she intends on removing the Tabula from beyond my reach. Would you recover the Tabula for me?
Mission Acceptance
The Tabula is more important than I have let on, Character, for it allows me to directly commune with Hephaestus, the Divine Smith. It is a direct conduit to the god and in the wrong hands can create no end of trouble.
You are a puissant and able warrior. It is well within your powers to track the trail of this thief. Please, recover the Tabula and make this Ghost Widow -- and all who dare fight for her -- pay for their insult to Cimerora.
Unnecessary Solicitation
You must pry the Tabula from Ghost Widow's grasp.
Mission Objective(s)
This building bustles with activity.
- Recover the Tabula
- Defeat Ghost Widow
You have defeated Ghost Widow and recovered the Tabula Scutum.
Enemies
Notable NPCs
You have found the Tabula Scutum.
This stone tablet belongs back in Cimerora. You should return it to Daedalus as soon as you can.
Debriefing
I knew my faith in you was not misplaced, Character. I do not understand why this Ghost Widow coveted the power of the Tabula Scutum nor am I aware of this curse she spoke of as you vanquished her. If she had but asked, perhaps I could have aided her. But now I am well pleased that the Tabula is back in my hands, where it belongs. You have done me a great service and I will not forget that.
Truly, the gods did smile upon me when they caused our paths to cross, Character. You are a boon companion and a comfort to me.
Restore the Tabula Scutum
Stolen Power
Finale
Briefing
I have one final request for you, Character. The Tabula Scutum must be returned to its proper resting place and its power restored. I fear that with the artifact gone, my enemies have overrun the cave. I would ask your aid in defeating them and restoring the Tabula once and for all.
Mission Acceptance
I shall meet you in the cave and there we shall write the end to this saga with our brave deeds.
Unnecessary Solicitation
Please return to the Cavern of the Tabula and help me restore the artifact.
Mission Objective(s)
These caves seem alive with the activity of Romulus' henchmen.
- Defeat the Cimeroran Traitors
- Activate the Tabula Scutum
Finally, the caves are quiet save for the sound of the now-restored Tabula Scutum, which is quietly buzzing with power.
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Daedalus (Hero Ally)
- Praefectus Bikus (Cimeroran Traitors Praefectus Castrorum) (Boss)
- Note: Though Daedalus is presented as an Hero, his Hit Points and attacks are more like those of a Boss-class ally.
Debriefing
By Hephaestus' Anvil, Character! You are mighty indeed! This could not be accomplished save by the efforts of your hand. Know that you have earned the respect of Daedalus.
Future Threat (40-50)
Merit Rewards: This activity awards 8 Reward Merits.
This arc requires the mission holder to leave Cimerora, breaking up any cooperative teams between Heroes and Villains.
Souvenir
Broken Malta Group Helmet
This shattered combat helmet, recovered from the battlefield, is a reminder of the incident you've come to call:

It all started when Daedalus, the legendary craftsman of Cimerora, detected strange energy readings coming from the future. You traveled to Peregrine Island to investigate the energy and found that the Malta Group was planning an invasion through time of Cimerora.
Daedalus proposed building an energy shielding device to stop this invasion, but he need your help in doing so. You returned to Peregrine Island and found a secret Crey Industries laboratory facility, which you used to fabricate an experimental power source for Daedalus' new device. You returned to Cimerora just in time to defeat the initial Malta invading force, buying Daedalus the time he needed to complete his device.
Because of your help, Cimerora remains free from Malta's control. It's all part of a good day's work!
Go to Peregrine Island and investigate the Malta Group's activities
Future Threat: Part One
Briefing
Character, you have come at the right time, for once again I must impose on your good nature and heroic spirit. During a recent experiment , one of my devices picked up strange energies. After some study, I was able to track the source of these energies. The trail lead straight to your time... to the future.
Those you call the Malta Group have cast a covetous eye on Cimerora. Whatever their fell plan is, it must not come to pass.
I fear I was not able to trace this energy source to a precise location, but I did learn enough to know that these future foes are operating out of your own Paragon City, in a place you call Peregrine Island. I would ask you to travel there and check your sources for any information they may have on this planned incursion.
Mission Acceptance
Thank you, Character. It pains me to have to ask for your aid each time we talk, but, as you know, I cannot travel to the future myself, as I am not attuned to the crystal you use. Pray see what you can find out what the Malta operatives know and investigate any information you find.
Unnecessary Solicitation
Check with Crimson in Peregrine Island about the Malta Group's activities.
Mission Objective(s)
- Talk to Crimson in Peregrine Island
Are you here for a situation report, Character, or do you have something on your mind?
(Ask for a situation report)
- The situation is quiet, Character. Almost too quiet. It's like the Malta Group has gone silent. They're losing ground to Nemesis, who's starting to encroach on their operation.
(Ask about something else)
- I don't have anything else for you, Character.
(Ask for more information on the Malta group) (after asking for a situation report)
(Ask about the Malta Group) (before asking for a situation report)
- I don't have any hard data, but I think Malta's up to something big. They've been too quiet. If you want to find out what they're doing and stop it, that would be a positive action. You can start by shaking some information out of those Nemesis clowns. They've been pushing in on some of Malta's ops, and might have information on where Malta's been hiding out.
- Start there and see where it leads you. Good luck, Character. Let me know what you find out.
- Immediately begins next objective, regardless if you've asked the other questions or not.
Mission Objective(s)
- Interrogate Nemesis soldiers in Peregrine Island
- Defeat 15 Nemesis
You find out that Nemesis has been sniffing around a secret Malta facility here on Peregrine Island. This sounds like the kind of place you've been looking for. Maybe there you can discover just what the Malta group is up to.
Enemies
One of the Nemesis soldiers you questioned revealed the location of a secret Malta base on Peregrine Island. The soldier didn't know what went on in the base, but that should be easy for you to figure out with a little personal attention to the matter.
Mission Objective(s)
Elaborate security cameras... check. People in paramilitary gear... check. Yes, this is definitely a Malta base.
It's time to find out what's going on.
- Find the Information
- Defeat Mr. Jansen
You have the goods on what the Malta Group is up to. It's time to return talk to Daedalus and see what the two of you can figure out to drop a monkey wrench in their plans.
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Security Chief (Malta Operatives Gunslinger)
- Mr. Jansen (Malta Operatives Tac Ops Commander)
You find some files marked "Operation: Cimerora" on this computer.
These computer files describe a detailed plan for invading Cimerora! The Malta Group plans to use an experimental temporal flux device to create a rift through time that will enable them to send a large group of operatives back to Cimerora. While they won't be in communication with this invasion force, the Malta leadership is certain their forces will be sufficient to 'contain the Cimerora threat before it becomes a problem in our time.'
The rest of the file is filled with technical information on the temporal flux device. You think Daedalus should be able to make good use of the technical specifications.
Debriefing
My suspicions were correct, Character. This Malta group is planning a strike against sweet Cimerora. They intend an invasion through time itself!
I shall study this information on their device , I believe I can see the pattern they weave with it. Perhaps, with a little time, I will be able to create a counter to unravel their workings.
No doubt such an undertaking will require your efforts, so please speak with me again soon.
Travel to Peregrine Island and obtain the power supply
Future Threat: Part Two
Briefing
The information you gave me is fascinating, Character! The people from your time can use Lady Science to do so much... so much, yet they still seek to pervert her for their own nefarious ends. But we have a chance to restore the Lady's honor and use her good offices to prevent these villains from achieving their goal.
My analysis of the Malta Group's plan has revealed a flaw. The method of travel they intend to use to move their forces through time employs a specific frequency of energy. If we shield Cimerora from that form of energy, Malta will not be able to send its troops here and we will be safe.
To build this shield will require both of our efforts. I must ask you once again to return to Peregrine Island. The files you gave me contained the location of a Crey Industries warehouse that contains the plans and the parts needed to craft the power supply I need to power the machine I have designed to produce this shield.
Mission Acceptance
Thank you, Character. You are a noble man indeed. Once you have recovered the plans, you must use a machine you will find there to assemble the parts. That will manufacture the power supply. Please bring it to me as soon as possible, for I fear that Malta will begin to test its time travel device soon.
Unnecessary Solicitation
Character, I beg you. Please bring me the power supply as soon as you can!
Mission Objective(s)
The hustle and bustle of this Crey Industries facilities seems to indicate business as usual. You're certain they have no idea you're coming.
- Create a power supply for Daedalus
- 3 parts to find, Find schematic
The experimental power supply looks to be just the thing Daedalus needs for his invention. You should get it to him as quickly as possible.
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Agent Oakley (Crey Special Agent Sharpshooter)
- Project Manager Robinson (Crey Paragon Protector Elite)
You have found one of the parts you need.
You have found the schematic for the power supply.
You have obtained the schematic for the experimental power supply Daedalus needs for his machine. With the proper parts and access to a Crey Energy Fabricator Mk I, you should be able to manufacture the power supply.
Debriefing
This is the last piece I need for my device. Thank you, Character! Allow me to go and install it and then we shall see if it will do the job it must.
Defeat the Malta Group's invasion
Future Threat: Finale
Briefing
Character, we haven't much time! The Malta Group has sent a scouting force in advance of their invasion. We must stop this Malta invasion!
Mission Acceptance
This force must be defeated, but if I divert my efforts from my crafting I will be unable to complete the shielding device.
Please, Character, for the love of Cimerora, go to the battlefield and stand against these invaders.
Your valiant efforts on the battlefield will allow me to finish my temporal shield. Through your might and my craft we will make a two-pronged strike against the Malta Group and end their threat to Cimerora forever!
Unnecessary Solicitation
The Malta Group continues to send scouts back through their temporal travel device. You must stop this invasion!
Mission Objective(s)
The sounds of high-tech weaponry seems out of place here in Cimerora. It's time to do something about their presence.
- Defeat the Malta Group Invaders
- Defeat Command Unit
At last the battlefield is quiet. You've defeated the Malta Group's scouting force. It's time to check in with Daedalus.
This is a defeat-all mission. There's a door up on either side of the gate you come in to the mission; not tagged, but clickable when you get near them. These doors let you get up to the "hidden" mobs for the defeat all.
Enemies
Notable NPCs
- Handry (Malta Operatives Gunslinger)
- Captain Needa (Malta Operatives Operation Commander)
- Titan Command Unit (Malta Operatives Zeus Class Titan)
Debriefing
While you were facing the Malta forces on the field of battle, I completed my shielding device. Now that it is active, these would-be invaders will not have access to sweet Cimerora.
I am now free to concentrate on aiding my liege in dealing with this land's own problems, without interference from outside forces. I thank you, Character. Not only are you a true friend to this humble crafter, you are a true friend to this land. Know that you are always welcome here.
