First Cyst
Overview
The First Cyst is an Archvillain-class Object from the Nictus. It was the first Shadow Cyst Crystal ever created.
Heroes and villains encounter it in the Finale: Ride of the Valkyrie mission from Sister Valeria (Level 50) as an Object and an Enemy.
Background
General Gorgidas attempts to describe the First Cyst during Sister Valeria's mission, Chapter Four: Operation Sciritae:
I am a modestly educated man, Character. But I cannot begin to try and describe the nature of what I saw. It was at once fire, and ice, and stone, and pure dark magic. When Dorjan approached it, he could draw more Dark Ones from it. It seemed to be endless, how he could find Dark Ones and gift them to the troops for empowerment.
Description
This Cyst Crystal is the progenitor to all other Shadow Crystals you'll ever know. In the time of Cimerora, the concept of a Cyst, formed by the remnants of the three Nictus essences that empowered Romulus, ushered in a new era of research for the Nictus Empire. They'd already perfected light-speed travel at the cost of their mortal forms, but now with the concept of a Cyst at their disposal, the process could link dozens, possibly hundreds of endpoints - only now at faster-than-light speeds. It must be destroyed!
