Draw out the witch

Briefing

The Legacy Chain are herding the Unnamed towards the stronghold of the local heroes, Moonfire and Ravenstorm. We'll strike while they are still distracted by the monstrous threat you released. Once you've taken out the heroes the witch will have to come out to help defeat the Unnamed, or the Legacy Chain fools are surely doomed! Hee hee!

Mission Acceptance

Once the witch is out in the open I will neutralize the magical ring that makes her invincible with a shot from my trusty sniper rifle. Then you can seal the deal and finish her.

Oh, by the way, I managed to finish researching that spell those amateurs in the Legacy Chain were working on. Take this scroll and study it, in case you run into the monster.

Temporary Power

You will receive the Rune of Binding upon accepting the mission.

Power

Ranged, Moderate DoT(Psionic), Foe Immobilize, -Recharge, -Fly, Special

You weave a special arcane rune with the power to restrain old gods and cast it on your foe, chaining them to the ground with otherworldly tendrils that deal psionic damage over time. Using this power against The Unnamed One will disable its Unbounded state.

Unnecessary Solicitation

The witch and her allies are gathering to fight the Unnamed. This is our chance to strike!

Mission Objective(s)

Approaching the Bog you hear the chants and shouts of the Legacy Chain as they try to keep the Unnamed entity in check.

  • Defeat the Last Witch of Striga
    • 2 heroes remaining
    • The witch is invulnerable
    • Stop the Unnamed (optional)

You have defeated Stephanie Peebles, the last witch of Striga.

Power

Self +Resistance (All)

This ring contains the power of Stephanie Peebles' love for her late husband, Stephen. When invoked, this power will partially protect you from all damage types, including Psionics. After about 2 hours of on time, Stephanie will recall the ring magically.

Debriefing

We make a good team, Character. If I ever need help taking down another magic-using menace, I've got your number. For now things here on Striga seem to have calmed down so I'll be moving on. I suggest you do the same.
