Overview

Certain enemies are flagged as Undead for the purposes of changing the effect of certain powers targeting them.

Undead Affecting Powers

The following powers deliver additional damage against Undead Enemies, sometimes referred to as True Undead.

Undead Enemies

The following enemies are flagged as Undead.

Arachnos

Some Arachnos can be found as ghosts in some of Veluta Lunata's missions.

Banished Pantheon

Circle of Thorns

Ghosts

Halloween Enemies

Abominations

Only the Abominations with the appearance of Shivans count as Undead, and likely only take 60% of the additional damage like regular Shivans.

Dark Fiends

Only the Dark Fiends with the appearance of Vampires count as Undead.

Deadly Apocalypse

Dr. Kane's Horrors

Spirits

Transparent Terrors

Unseelie Court

Vampire

Zombies

Zombie Apocalypse

Mastermind Henchmen (Necromancy)

Only in PvE such as via Doppelgangers or Mission Architect. In order to provide a fair balance for human players, any PvP against a Mastermind's henchmen from the Necromancy power set will not deal additional damage even though these henchmen are technically True Undead.

Midnight Masters

Midnight Squad

Miscellaneous

Nightmare

Praetorians

Shivans

Shivans, while affected like True Undead, only take 60% of the additional damage.

Skulls

Summoned by Veles.

  • Grave Knight
  • Lich
  • Spirit

Spectral Pirates

Scrapyarders

The Cabal

The Black Knights

Tsoo

Enemies that are not Undead

5th Column

5th Column Vampyri are created through scientific means, and are not Undead.

Apparitions

Apparitions are the only Ghosts that do not also count as Undead, as they are a result of Praetor Tilman's Seer Program.

Arachnos
  • Ghost Widow - Ghost Widow is not flagged as Undead, possibly to prevent vulnerability to temporary powers.
Banished Pantheon

Banished Pantheon spirit masks and totems are not undead. Instead, they appear to be animated spirits.

Council

Council Vampyri are created through scientific means, and are not Undead.

Dr. Kane's Horrors
Freedom Phalanx
  • Numina - Numina is not flagged as Undead, possibly to prevent vulnerability to temporary powers.
Ghouls/Failed Experiments/Forlorn

Ghouls and their related groups are genetically altered, feral humans and not Undead.

Infected

Infected originally were treated as undead, but are actually diseased. This was fixed on December 7, 2006.

Legacy Chain
  • War Witch - War Witch is not flagged as Undead, possibly to prevent vulnerability to temporary powers.
Praetorians
  • Diabolique - Diabolique is not flagged as Undead, possibly to prevent vulnerability to temporary powers.
