Overview
Monster is a pseudo-Enemy Rank. It is most commonly applied to Arch-Villains or Giant Monsters and can be merely a cosmetic change, or can signify a mechanical deviation from the normal rank. They share HP stats with their true rank.
List of Monsters
Various Monsters can be found throughout the game at different true Ranks. Most Monsters are found within instanced missions, but a select few can be found in persistent zones.
Pet
- Sally (GM Combat Mod) Due to her unique Resistance power, Sally only has 1 Hit Point.
Boss
- Tentacles (Talons of Vengeance)
Archvillain
Monsters that are Archvillains often operate identically to normal Archvillains, just with a different rank name. Some receive the Vs. Level Combat Modification of a Giant Monster and may not display their level in the target window.
- The Abomination (Dr. Kane's Horrors) (GM Combat Mod)
- Stop Kronos Titan & Entire Crew mission from Crimson, Assault Malta Base during Lord Recluse Strike Force and The World's Final Gambit mission from the Dream Doctor
- Kronos Class Titan (Malta) not to be confused with the Giant Monster ambush during Crimson's World Wide Red arc
- Set up the psychic blocker mission from Unai Kemen
Giant Monster
Monsters that are actually Giant Monsters differ from their rank in that they do not award Reward Merits and do not grant the Vs. Level Combat Modification that standard Giant Monsters do. In this way they are more dangerous than regular Giant Monsters to lower level characters, and less dangerous to higher level characters.
