Information

Widow

Alexandra Sideris is General Sideris' wife, who was completely unaware of his affiliation with Romulus' army. In his death, he proclaimed his wife innocent of his sins - she now works for Sister Valeria as a means of observation and atonement.

Prior to Introduction

There are many hardships that lie ahead for us as a people, Character.

After you have assisted Sister Valeria in confronting the most immediate threat, I would have use for champions such as yourself in helping us undo the damage here in Cimerora.

Contact Unlocked

+++ Missing Information +++

Initial Contact

Thank you for your time to work with me. I have been assigned a list of rumors to investigate. If you are worthy, there are many things needing repair in Cimerora, both physical and in the hearts of our citizens.

Greeting

Evil never rests, and neither shall we.

Too Busy

It would appear you have difficulty declining work. Please clear your task list before speaking with me again. I will not overburden you.

Missions

Accept task to destroy shadow crystals

Briefing

As you may know, Romulus had allied with the Dark Ones, creatures from the very depths of Hades. They lurk in the shadows of the surrounding caves, harnessing the power of their shadow crystals even now in his absence. If we can destroy these crystals we can gain a tactical advantage in the war against Romulus. I am told if they are allowed to grow, it could spell the end of times for all of us.

You must find these shadow crystals and destroy them, Character. I know not what foul manner of magic they contain, but I do know that they are a source of the Dark Ones' incredible power.

You have 60 minutes to complete this task.

Unnecessary Solicitation

Time is not on our side, Character. Not only do the Dark Ones use these crystals for power, but I believe that they may have the magical ability to move his men from one place to another!

Bug! Incarnate Shifts currently do not apply in this mission. It also may not be intentional for all three Dark Nova Alphas to have the same name.

Mission Objective(s)

These crystals cannot be allowed to grow, or it's doom for all mankind!

  • Destroy the shadow crystals
    • 3 shadow crystals to destroy
    • 3 Crystal Guardians to defeat (Optional)

Success: You have completed your task successfully.
Failure: Your task has ended in failure. There is no honor, nor reward, in that.

Enemies

Cimeroran Traitors
Nictus

Notable NPCs

Editor's Note:

Names for the Dark Nova Alphas seem to follow the pattern X Y, where X is a modifier and Y is a noun. Possibilities include: X = Abiotic, Protonic; Y = Parasite, Potential. For instance, "Abiotic Parasite" and "Protonic Potential" are possible names.

All three Alphas have the same name; the name changes on different runs of the mission.

Debriefing

Mission Success: Thank you, Character. You have destroyed those foul crystals. I am most pleased.
Mission Failure: Those crystals are but one key to the Dark Ones' power, but a large one nonetheless. I am disappointed that you were not able to eliminate them. I hope for all of our sakes that you are willing to try again.

Accept task to destroy weapons

Briefing

It is time that we make an offensive attack against Romulus's men and their weapons. Doing so will help us gain advantage against them. Strike first and remove those weapons from the hands of our enemies!

You must find their weapons caches and destroy them. Only then will we begin to match their strength. Time, unfortunately, is not in our favor, so you must hurry.

You have 60 minutes to complete this task.

Unnecessary Solicitation

Quickly now. You must get to those weapons and destroy them before they can use them against us!

Mission Objective(s)

Your success, or failure, in this task could mean a turn in the tide of this fight.

  • Destroy the enemy's weapons
    • 4 caches of weapons to destroy

Success: You have completed your task successfully.
Failure: Your task has ended in failure. There is no honor, nor reward, in that.

Enemies

Cimeroran Traitors

Notable NPCs

  • Weapons Cache x4 (Object)
Editor's Note:

On a given run of this mission, all soldiers named in dialogue will have the same name. Possible names include: Appius, Manius, Numerius, Servius, Spurius.

Debriefing

Mission Success: I am most proud of you, Character! Those weapons will be purged post-haste.
Mission Failure: He still controls the weapons. This is a disappointment. I pray he does not have the chance to use them against us before we can counter with armaments of our own.

Accept task to retrieve stolen chests

Briefing

The remnants of Romulus's Army, directed by the Dark Ones no doubt, have recently waylaid a caravan and made off with smithed weapons. It is of the utmost importance that you reclaim those smithed weapons for Imperious and Cimerora!

We have no way of knowing what the Dark Ones plan to do with the smithed weapons, but I can assure you that without them in the rightful hands of the Cimerorans, suffering will be visited upon us nonetheless.

Unnecessary Solicitation

Show those Dark Ones that the Cimerorans will never bow or yield to their treachery!

Editor's Note:

The type of goods stolen varies. Possibilities include: barrels of food and wine, battle plans, smithed weapons.

Mission Objective(s)

It's hard to believe that the Nictus would have a need for smithed weapons. But the men that serve them, that's a whole other story.

  • Retrieve stolen chests
    • 4 chests to retrieve

Success: You have completed your task successfully.
Failure: Your task has ended in failure. There is no honor, nor reward, in that.

Enemies

Cimeroran Traitors
Nictus

Debriefing

Mission Success: Thank you, Character. With the goods returned, we can continue to prosper and thwart evil wherever it may show itself.
Mission Failure: I would be speaking falsely if I told you that I was not disappointed, Character. Perhaps another attempt on the hideout is in order?

Accept task to stop Boss Name (Nictus)

Briefing

One of my scouts has reported that the Dark Ones have nested nearby. They are led by one who calls itself Boss Name. Your task is to stop this vile spirit before it can organize their zealots for another attack on this post.

It hides away like a vile infection and infests and corrupts our people for its cause. Find it and defeat it. I am counting on your continued success, Character.

You have 60 minutes to complete this mission.

Unnecessary Solicitation

There is no time to waste. Less than an hour, in fact. Even now it musters the darkness to attack our lands.

Go! I beg you!

Editor's Note:

Names for the Nictus leader seem to follow the pattern "X Y", where X is a noun phrase and Y is a modifier. Possibilities include:

  • X = The Darkness, Horrors, Malice, The Rage, The Shade, The Shadows, The Silence
  • Y = Asunder, of Dominion, Empowered, Enflamed, of Subjugation, of Progress, Unchained, of Wonderment

For instance, "The Darkness of Dominion" and "Malice Asunder" are two possible names.

Mission Objective(s)

Sounds of faint laughter waft from the darkness. An eerie thrum pulses through the cave. The Nictus are at work here!

  • Defeat Boss Name and its coterie
    • Defeat Boss Name

Success: You have completed your task successfully.
Failure: Your task has ended in failure. There is no honor, nor reward, in that.

Enemies

Cimeroran Traitors
Nictus

Notable NPCs

Ambush! Approaching the boss room triggers an ambush by one wave of Nictus.

Nictus 1: You will die like a dog!
Editor's Note:

The actual before combat and combat start dialogue above is chosen randomly from among the options above (others may also occur). The boss will say only one line of each type per run of the mission.

Debriefing

Mission Success: If I had but an army of the calibre such as the kind you display, Character, our cause would already be won.
Mission Failure: You have been bested by Boss Name. I am deeply saddened by this news. Perhaps now that you understand his methods of war you can defeat him. This post depends upon your success.

Accept task to stop Boss Name (Ravennan)

One of my scouts has reported that the Ravennans have taken root in our lands. One such nest is led by someone who is called Boss Name by their subjects, and is nearby. Your task is to remove her before she can organize her cult for another attack.

  • Accept task to stop Boss Name

The Ravennans disgust me. They are all lies, subterfuge, and manipulation. They attempt to hide in plain sight as one of us, but they are not and never will be! Root them out with impunity.

You have 60 minutes to complete this mission - we believe they are amassing power as we speak.

Unnecessary Solicitation

There is no time to waste, friend. Less than an hour, in fact. Even now she musters the darkness to attack us.

Go! I beg you!

Editor's Note:

Possible names for the Ravennan leader include: Deadly Temptress, Pathfinder of the Dark, Profaned Sybil.

Mission Objective(s)

Ravennans... The very thought of them brings up feelings of anger and distrust.

  • Defeat Boss Name and her coterie

Agree to rescue captured citizens

Mission Success: Thank you, Character. You have done me a great service in returning my warriors. I am in your debt.
Mission Failure: Casualties are a sad reality of war. You did your best, but we are weakened by the loss.

Agree to rescue Senators

Briefing

Ravennan strategists are quite cunning. In all of our efforts to rout them and stop their schemes, there's one approach we overlooked - that of our government. In the wake of your victory, Ravenna is trying to destabilize us by kidnapping our senators, leaving us unable to properly lead our people and manage them! If the people lose faith in our leadership, the war is over without so much as another sword swung. We cannot allow them to subvert our democracy like this! You must rescue those senators!

You must rescue them as quickly as possible, Character. And if necessary, check their blood to make sure it bleeds red. I fear they may attempt to infect our leaders with their dark magic!

You have 60 minutes to complete this mission.

Unnecessary Solicitation

You must find them and bring them back before it is too late!

Mission Objective(s)

Whatever your opinions may be of politicians, nobody deserves the fate awaiting a Nictus prisoner.

Failure: Your task has ended in failure. There is no honor, nor reward, in that.

Mission Failure: It is a sad day when innocents are lost in the madness of war. You did your best, Character, but I still grieve for the loss. Perhaps there is yet time for a second attempt at rescue.

Agree to rescue young Sybils

Briefing

From time to time, we must send out our attendants to obtain supplies at the mainland. One such excursion was beset by Romulus's men and captured. There is no need to explain in detail what may happen to them if they are not rescued. Go now, and save those women from Romulus's men!

You must return these women as quickly as possible, Character. Find them and send them back to us before anything happens to them.

You have 60 minutes to complete this mission.

Prepare a strike on the Ravennans

Briefing

Your deeds with Valeria have earned you great reputation with our people. As you know, evil never succumbs without dogged persistence, As such, we are now moving our eyes towards upsetting whatever plans the Ravenna Council are attempting to hatch in the wake of your victory. Take a look, by yourself or with a cohort, at this cave I've marked on your map. I fear the rumors that the Ravennans have fled here to hatch more schemes may be all too true. Go there and destroy whatever foul plans they may have connived.

Ravennans are crafty, and may have spies that send warning of our movements. Strike fast and quickly, before they move.

You have 60 minutes to complete this task.

Unnecessary Solicitation

We must be quick, Character. Priestesses like Boss Name do not idle!

Editor's Note:

Possible names for the Ravennan priestess include: Cecilia, Enyo, Malvolia.

Mission Success: Thank you, Character. You have destroyed those foul crystals. This will bode well for the spirit of our people.
Mission Failure: The Ravennans are not to be emboldened by victory. Perhaps your next attempt will be more effective.

Retrieve the mining supplies

Briefing

As of late, strategies have shifted with the remnants of Romulus' alliance. They have taken to raiding supply routes, but not for food or medicine... the contents of mining convoys has become their priority. This is a terrible problem; they must be using the raw materials to forge better weapons! Root them out and recover the supplies!

We have no way of knowing what the Traitors and their Ravennan allies plan to do with the wares, but if they are rare gems, then Valeria has instructed me to tell you that you shall not show an iota of mercy to them.

Editor's Note:

Although the briefing does not say so explicitly, this mission has a time limit of 60 minutes, like all other missions from Alexandra Sideris.

Unnecessary Solicitation

Do not delay! Every moment wasted could be another sword or pilum in their arsenal!

Mission Objective(s)

You have a sinking feeling that it's probably far worse than just weapons being made in here.

  • Retrieve stolen supplies
    • 4 chests to retrieve

Success: You have completed your task successfully.
Failure: Your task has ended in failure. There is no honor, nor reward, in that.

Enemies

Ravenna Conclave
Cimeroran Traitors

Notable NPCs

Debriefing

Mission Success: Thank you, Character. I believe this is a portent of trials to come. But at the least I can hope we have delayed it.
Mission Failure: I would be speaking falsely if I told you that I was not disappointed, Character. They cannot relocate easily, so perhaps your second strike will be more effective?

Notes

  • The missions given by this contact are Incarnate level missions, and as such, Incarnate players will have access to their full Incarnate Level Shift. Unlike most Incarnate-level missions, there are no special Incarnate Component rewards.
  • Although Alexandra Sideris's level range is 50, enemies in her missions default to level 52.
